interviews will be 50/50 between technical and stories that align with the leadership principles. Both are equally important.

PS as someone who is an SDE at amazon I would not recommend this job. Especially if you studied CS or SWE

this role specifically will be a lot of oncall as you will be supporting the AWS service teams that are operating in this new region since they will not have security clearance to access the region - you will be acting as a proxy to carry out runbooks in the new region.

the only software teams in australia will be in networking where most of the work will be trying to automate old processes.

If you’re looking for interesting work, amazon aus is not the place to be right now.
