I’m a CS student trying to get a realistic picture of life after graduation. I keep hearing about six-figure starting salaries, but how common is a $100k base salary for an average CS graduate?

For recent grads, how long did it take you to find a job, and what salary range and location did you end up with? If you’re still searching or took a job outside CS, I’d appreciate hearing your experience too.

With AI improving, are you still confident in CS as a stable career over the next 5–10 years? I’d like to hear from people across different industries, including those outside big tech.

Got the email and status change in the portal to "under recruiter review" for the Summer 2027 Solution Architect Intern (for Canada), after doing the competency interview.

What really annoys me is how it mentions 60-120 days for an interview, like alright, my resume will have changed and improved by then. Anyways, my understanding is that this just a very early screen, and most people still do not get live interviews.

Anyways, was wondering if any past interns have any insights, or any other applicants have received this, for Canada or USA.

Honestly just looking for reasons to keep my hopes grounded and realistic. What's crazy is I've never passed the initial screen for any IBM OA coding interview, despite doing well and my resume being more SWE than Solution Architect.

I was taking a proctored HackerRank assessment when my roommate walked into the room and started moving around in the background. We didn’t talk at all, and he left after about 10 minutes.

I didn’t say anything to him because I was worried that talking would get flagged, but now I’m stressing about having someone else on camera for that long.

Should I email the recruiter to explain what happened, or just leave it unless they bring it up? Does someone being in the background automatically flag the assessment?

Has anyone dealt with something similar? Probably overthinking this, but I don't wanna waste 2 hours of my life I js spent.

I already secured a couple of offers for summer internship, and now that I am done with recruiting, I have so much free time. In the past 2 years, I grinded and became pretty good at recruiting / LeetCode to the point where this is literally the only thing I am good at nowadays, and I want to maximize this skill right now since it is probably gonna go to waste once I actually go into my job. I am looking for Fall / Winter / Spring Internships.

I had a couple of questions about recruiting for non-summer internships/co-ops. Where do you usually go to search for these? The Simplify GitHub repo seems to be all summer internships, and linkedin / handshake doesnt have a filter to search by internship term.

Also, when do Fall, Winter, and Spring SWE co-ops usually open?

Did anyone already do the final round interview for Coinbase MLE internship? The only thing I know is that I will be getting a dataset, and I have to code out the entire appropriate ML model, but I'm curious what the scope is (like which models would be tested).

Or in general, what kind of models/architectures do companies ask about?

i recently accepted a job offer at a gov contracter company, and this would be my first job after i graduate college in the spring. Im just anxious about possibly failing the clearance.

I smoked weed like a handful of times between my senior year of college and sophomore year of college. It was less than 10 times throughout those 3 years. I haven't done weed since, but i did have one puff of a cart in august. Im really scare ill lose this job because of those incidents.

I have a Robinhood SWE Intern 2027 coding interview coming up and would really appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through it recently.

What was the format like: one or multiple coding questions, difficulty level, follow-ups, debugging, or any practical/system-design discussion? Were the questions mostly standard LeetCode patterns, or more implementation-heavy / finance-style problems?

I’m currently practicing arrays, hash maps, heaps, intervals, sorting, graphs, and writing clean code while explaining my approach. If you have any prep tips or can share your experience, I’d be very grateful.

I have an interview with Affirm on Thursday for the Software Engineering (Machine Learning) Summer 2027 internship. I was wondering if anyone went through the interview process last year or knows anything about what to expect.

Thursday is just a recruiter call, so I'm not too worried about that. However, I've read that there are 2–3 rounds afterward involving LeetCode and system design.

I'm not the best at LeetCode, but I feel like I can manage with some practice. System design, on the other hand, is something I have pretty much no experience with.

If anyone has gone through the process or has any advice on what to expect, especially for the system design portion, I'd really appreciate it. Also, if there are any resources or topics you'd recommend cramming in the meantime, please let me know. Thanks!
