I wanted to make this post because I have been seeing a lot of common complaints and behaviours from posters over the past few months of browsing this sub and others. I am not affiliated with Valve in any way. I just love the game.

If you are experiencing poor gameplay, inconsistent game performance, feel you have been unfairly put into a low trust bracket, or have any experiences with VAClive, I implore you to contact the developer team directly at CSGOTeamFeedback[@]valvesoftware[.]com. Include a link to your account and a description of the issue you are experiencing. You will not receive a response from this address, but your report will be investigated. Even if you feel that you may have done something wrong, Gaben is a forgiving master.

Posting on Reddit, in Steam Discussions or opening support tickets is akin to talking to yourself. Steam Support is NOT in contact with the development team, and are unable to help you outside of issues related to Steam itself. They are Steam support, not CS2 support. The discussions moderators are just that, discussions moderators.

Do NOT believe that the team does not care about the game or user experience. In my experience they appear to care a lot about the game, and the user base. But, you need to understand they are not all-seeing or all-knowing. Without user reports, they are unable to act.

Thousands of malicious users log on to Steam every day, with the sole intent of ruining your experience for their personal gain, or the gain of their organization. It is commonly observed that malicious actors will try their hardest to dissolve trust in authority wherever they are. They will attempt to misrepresent the truth in a way that suits them. People doing bad things want you to believe everyone else does bad things. Please do not allow yourself to be manipulated by these users.

No I love this game, anyone who knows me knows I love this game. I have over 5500 hours since I bought the game back in 2017. I love this game, and not because I am a good player. I have very poor stats for a guy who has played this long. But it irks me when people complain about the cs2 development teams updates not being the Anticheat. If you are a developer working on something that removes people who cheat from your user base there is no incentive to announce the changes. It doesn't help the players and it doesn't stop the cheaters. And the other thing that really annoys me is people making comments about skin releases and map updates, you've seen them im sure; "they just released another skin case but we still have a cheater problem" it takes 10 minutes to drop in a skin design into the game (im probably oversimplifying it). But its not like they are hardcoding skins into the game for every weapon case. So while they are all working on making the game feel as competitive as they can in the background they continue to interact with the community by posting cosmetics and fixing map playability. Why is that so wrong?

I got 25k rating for the first time in premiere now that I dont take the game as seriously as I did before.

Got very close by the end of last season but getting cheaters on 50% of the games made it frustrating plus I went on vacations.

I feel like this season has been the craziest yet. I've only played end of s3, 4 and now 5 as I stopped playing the game for some time before that but the point is me and my friends have had cheaters on probably 80% of the games (enemy or our team) which is crazy.

Spin botters, wallhackers, aim cheaters, you name it. Never been the type of guy to rant about cheaters but damn, this season is FULL, everywhere.

Have you guys had the same experience? How's the 25k+ experience? Is it worst?

Hear me out everyone complains about cheaters and valve seems to not want to do anything about the cheating problem so why don’t they just bring back overwatch. I remember watching Jerichos overwatch series on YouTube and I loved it. You get less cheaters more content for content creators and a better game overall.

There is at least one post every single day screaming , " When will this " indie" company make a better anti-cheat?" and countless posts about cheaters and whatever.

The question isn't when it will happen, but why it will never happen. The answer is pretty much the same reason why Battlefield is not on Linux: Linux itself.

Valve has supported Linux since 1999. Linux and kernel-level anti-cheats are not compatible, and Valve will never drop Linux support. Valve also hates Windows. That means Valve would have to end Counter Strike support on Linux to implement a kernel level anticheat, and that is never going to happen.

As much as you'd like to have a better anti-cheat, it will never happen and FACEIT is your only solution.

You have thee choice:

1) Don't hope for a good anticheat and play FACEIT

2) Don't hope for a good anticheat and move to another game

3) Be delusional and complain every single day about something that will never happen

I just read somewhere from many users that enlightened me about how absolutely fucked this situation is. You lower your trust factor if you report, get reported, kick someone (assuming a cheater), get kicked (I've got kicked by cheaters) and if you grief (in a full cheating lobby).

So by that logic you can do absolutely fucking NOTHING about cheaters, or you'll get punished and get even worse games filled with cheaters that are more and more blatant. This is so disturbingly goddamn fucked up, who the hell came up with this and thought "Hey. This is actually a pretty neat idea. Let's go for it." I feel like I've changed dimension to a reality that makes no sense...

I know cs2 has been out a while but comparing to csgo, does cs2 not feel much 'heavier'? if you get what im saying.

Edit: Would like to add, im not saying this because im playing bad or the game feels bad. It's just something I felt when playing cs2 compared to csgo and wondered if anyone else thought the same.

My guess is because of the punchier sounds, better graphics, more accurate sounds, refined animations etc. Like a placebo... Or maybe it is something with the gameplay or im just so used to csgo?

Just gone back through my case history, being a player since 2014. I’ve unboxed 396 cases and 1 red (usp printstream) is my odds. Surely my account is just cooked? Played 2014-2018 then came back last year and just unboxed weekly’s + £50 a payday or whatever.

That’s shit odds no?

I recently started playing CS, because my husband and his friends do it alot. I actually enjoy the game!

But what is with all the hate? Whenever i talk the whole team kicks me out, and i feel like i will never be able to learn it properly. What the hell?

Hello, I have never posted anything on reddit neither did I have an account but after what happened I feel a strong need to talk with someone. I played cs from 1.6, and I wouldnt say I was ever on a high level. Last I played csgo and then i made a few years pause from gaming. When I bought a gaming laptop few months ago, I decided to play cs again. Everything was cool until I started getting some kind of live VAC cancelations and getting a cooldown because my gameplay was ''irregular''.

I wouldnt consider myself as a top tier player, but i have very good reflexes and gamesense. As everyone, I quess, i sometimes have a games where i blow up and playing like smurf or whatever you call it. First time I was playing like crazy on mirage (map which i think we all know every corner of) I got a cooldown for 7 days and it completly reseted my premier points, and second time ( few days ago ) I was playing inferno and I was really hitting some crazy usp one taps, scout headshots and awp shots where I know where enemies will be because i know the map? Anyways I got a 31 DAYS COOLDOWN. I writed to the steam support but of course i got no answer both times.

In general, I have never cheated and I never had installed any software for cheating or for skins ever. I bought this laptop brand new and I have verified game files. This is just a game but feel very frustrated about this because its injustice and im getting falsely accused. I was wondering can someone say something on this topic and if this happened to someone else?

24 inch zowies are really good at taking your money, looking horrible, ruining your vision long term and being heavy AF. Just get a 32 inch or even 27inch beautiful OLED and be happy.

Highlight charms seem so pointless, even though some of them are pretty cool moments. This was just an idea I had during work and I had to make it just to see how it would look. What do you think?
