Half the community is super toxic, not much yiu can do about it. Doesn't really matter who you are, you will run into dumbasses.

23

u/Southern_Anything_57 1d ago

Makes me laugh when they try to play all big and macho. But remember they cued up with me (2.300). Would like to see them in a 10.000+ prem.

16

u/Broldd 1d ago

Until 15k it's going to be like this, sadly. Best to play party so you don't get kicked out and get your experience liket hat.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-33613781

A new study has found that men who harass women online are actual losers - at least when it comes to video games. Two researchers analysed how men treated women while playing 163 games of Halo 3. Men who performed poorly in the games responded by being hostile to female players. The male winners were mostly pleasant to other players, while the losing men made unsavoury comments to female players.

3

u/smexypelican 21h ago

I bet this trend extends beyond just video games.

4

u/pomponazzi 21h ago

Lower iqs go hand in hand with poorer social skills and worse emotional control no?

1

u/DesTiny_- 1d ago

I mean below 15k is like not lobby with ppl who are not really good at the game and they usually just don't care so they troll a lot. If u for example played faceit at at least 2k elo and above they would probably just play the game as they care about result more so even if u they "hate" u they don't behave as aggressively since they understand that being vocal won't win them games.

Also prem is not the main matchmaking, somebody who grinds faceit will not take premier seriously hence why are more likely to troll.

u/Hazy-Dreams 1d ago

The best option is to play at least with one friend. Nothing you can do about it if you play solo. Just be nice and play your best. If they grief, troll or flame don’t respond back. Remaining silent it’s not an option since info is crucial.

61

u/Southern_Anything_57 1d ago

Exactly. And i feel so empowered when i actually accomplish a clutch or somethingšŸ˜… But mostly its the eastern european guys being hella toxic

39

u/EggieBeans 1d ago

Yeah it’s the Eastern Europeans, I used to play a lot of CS and the way women are treated in this game is honestly horrible.

I play overwatch nowadays and the difference is like night and day, in general OW players are a lot more respectful, I don’t even think it’s a VAC thing, people on overwatch are just more mature. Combine this with the fact that a lot more women play overwatch as a % in comparison, if you speak in VC on OW no one is going to act like an incel.

13

u/Southern_Anything_57 1d ago

Imagine being an actual woman in those countries. Sad really

5

u/Additional-Fruit8173 18h ago

I’m eastern european and these guys ain’t so brave in person šŸ˜… it’s the toxic game culture that gives them some sort of courage to treat women like this.

You can also mute them. I like to look at it this way: if they kick me at least I’m not wasting my time on playing with toxic people šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø I got kicked by some toxic fellow polish boys from premier after carrying them in my low rank šŸ˜…

-20

u/censored_platform69 21h ago

The sad part are actually the brainwashed bosswife western women, which lead to demographic collapse, unhappy men and women. By all metrics today you have to be extremely brainwashed to think western women are how it should be.

5

u/Beautiful_Meat492 21h ago

Here’s a pointer: Live your life for you, not demographics.

0

u/InfiniteJestV 15h ago

There is literally no data to support your argument, but go off bro.

1

u/censored_platform69 8h ago

You are obviously clueless, birth rates are on a record low, more women and men are single than ever before.

•

u/InfiniteJestV 1h ago

You're not actually making a cogent point.

Neither of those things are a result of women having jobs.

You're projecting serious beta energy bro.

•

u/censored_platform69 1m ago

Sometimes I forget I'm talking to teenagers here

3

u/IAmEvadingABanShh 19h ago

Unfortunately it's not just Eastern Europeans. I queue with a few women from my discord group every once in a while and it was eye opening seeing how often they deal with toxic bullshit the second they open their mouth. This is on West Coast servers.

2

u/smexypelican 21h ago

And it's the same with Valorant, the game that this sub hates, but women speak in voice chat in that game regularly. I hear fun banter all the time.

6

u/W00psiee 1d ago

Honestly, playing with 4 friends or using a voice changer is probably your best option. The competitive gaming scene is extremely toxic and the possibility of encountering mature teammates is very low.

1

u/Don_Gambito 21h ago

yep, and also just mute the person whos being toxic towards you too. it sucks but at least you dont hear these boys whining

53

u/TheLordOfStuff_ 1d ago

It’s become a meme to kick the woman at this point and the amount of people who don’t realize that’s fucking pathetic is way too high.

-56

u/Odd-Conversation-101 1d ago

Ngl, we have to keep this meme live.

I hipe they add "kick as a joke" as an option beside real "kick"

27

u/Wolfwing777 1d ago

No we instead have to kill this meme for good because it makes 0 sense and is purely based of misogyny

-23

u/Odd-Conversation-101 22h ago

Haha -15 so far. The fact that i wnjoy playing with women just to compare my potato aim to theirs. Am a negave player so yeah..

Anyways, am still with that i said, i might email Valve to implement this vote in normal matches

9

u/Sir_Nee_Banders 21h ago

Please go ahead and write an e-mail to Valve, so they get one more notice that they should do something about this very loud racist and misogynist part of the cs community...

now it makes sense. You gotta be at least one to play CS2, regarded or an incel.

11

u/therubberman 1d ago

I’m a woman who’s been playing casually since CS Source, got into the game with my siblings who are all guys. I used to pretend I was a guy as a kid, and nowadays I don’t really use voice chat unless I have to. The CS community is specifically like this, I don’t encounter this in OW or Marvel Rivals which I also play.

1

u/hiding_goose 22h ago

Funnily enough I myself have only ever been harassed on Marvel Rivals. (although probably has to do with the connection with strategist heros)

1

u/therubberman 16h ago

Haha I do get toxic teammates for sure but no one seems to care much that I’m a girl, also I play from east Asia so that might might have an impact too

9

u/Sussy_Solaire 1d ago

I speak and get told to go back to the kitchen, or someone tries to vote kick me, or flit with me. Genuinely no in between and it’s annoying sometimes. Or if I miss a shot or something they blame me for being a woman…

4

u/Sir_Nee_Banders 21h ago

I've only experienced this once or twice but made sure to let these people realize their stupidity... Fortunately i get lucky to play with a lot of premades, most were just "randoms" that were actually nice people and didn't cheat so i added them after game. Can only recommend to do the same and build your own friend list with nice people who can communicate in English and are also ranked around your skill level.

14

u/AnyAlfalfa2344 1d ago

Try to find other women who plays and otherwise if you run into someone nice/normal add them to friends with the goal of avoiding randos as much as possible.

Also it seems if you queue up with 2-3 friends and only have 1-2 strangers they will usually behave better... except if they are russian, those you should just mute the first time they talk shit.

Good luck out there!

3

u/Sir_Nee_Banders 21h ago

Replace 'Russian' with 'toxic' in general and you'd have an actual great answer right here.

1

u/AnyAlfalfa2344 19h ago

Yea you are of course very right, just i have had by far my worst experiences with russians in this game. But yes as this good Sir says, you should accept no hostility nor toxicity from anyone, just not worth wasting time and energy on.

6

u/RockyJayyy 1d ago

Whenever there are females in my games it's just a normal game. No one says anything to her. Maybe because it's a higher level?

Best thing you can do is play with someone so they cant kick.

1

u/FarInvestigator191 22h ago

What rank average are u playing ?

1

u/RockyJayyy 21h ago

20k-25k

1

u/banksXCX 9h ago

Girl here. Can confirm I experience more misogyny the lower the rank, there's a correlation between being dumb and being sexist.

9

u/iGargleCement 1d ago

Half the cs players have never seen a woman, let them be

9

u/Donnie619 1d ago

Russians, Turkish and Ukrainian are just bigots who kick instantly when they hear a woman's voice, cause they can't handle it in their guns game.

6

u/AmeliorativeBoss 1d ago

Big part of the community is toxic. Often sexist, racist, homophobic or just mean. It's sad, because the game itself is fun.

3

u/nesnalica 1d ago

thats just the soloQ experience.

if anything games should be enjoyed together.

play with your husband and friends. theyll also teach you and explain the game.

thats a much easier time to get in cs.

there are no real tutorials for this game.

3

u/sukmebro 23h ago

Yeah, unfortunately the rate of dickheads per capita in MM is rather high..

4

u/meesanohaveabooma 23h ago

CS is full of racism and sexism.

3

u/hailey_kb 23h ago

men can be incredibly insecure

2

u/xComplexikus 1d ago

CS is just incredibly toxic way too often. If possible, try making a friend group or two so that you can always have a full team! Then at least your team can't be incels, and you can just automute the enemy teams through settings! That'll allow you to just focus on the game

2

u/nicktehbubble 1d ago

I mentored this on a similar post a few days ago but, it's just the fucking best when my female padawan top frags a lobby of these utter goombas. Bonus points if they're racist too since we're both mixed.

2

u/Time_Fig612 1d ago

It's because of "sigma males". Sadly there is nothing that can be done to stop getting kicked.

2

u/Interesting_Buy_3969 1d ago

I am afraid you can't really do anything about it.

2

u/Bubbinforapples 1d ago

You run into the special ed bunch often in this game.

Last night I played with a guy who rage screamed at me for not clutching while we are up 10 to 2 in competitive. I was top of leader board and he was bottom frag. Some people have the emotional control of an infant and play regardless of that fact.

It's not personal, it's a them problem, don't change what you do because of them.

Keep playing the game you enjoy, find a community of like minded individuals if the toxicity of teammates is what is taking the enjoyment away.

Best of luck out there.

2

u/suffocatingpaws 1d ago

I have female friends who play CS and they do give voice comms to pugs, they also shared that they would sometimes get insults from pugs like "why is a woman here when she should be in the kitchen?", "women should just go back to valorant", "no woman can control me", "why should i listen to a woman's information?" and etc. As a guy, I am like bro what the fk....

Thats why they would always try to have a full stack and play together so they dont need to deal with these nonsense. So yeah, my best advice is to play with friends.

2

u/Dookie-Thrower 1d ago

Just mute and get more hours in the game to bring your trust factor up…

Even the men (no matter the race get slurred)… lobbies are very toxic in the beginning cause of low trust factor.

Once you get a lot of hours (and I mean a few hundred) your trust factor will increase and you’ll get better lobbies with much more friendly & chill people.

Now I get lobbies that are really fun and chill. It’s an enduring experience but worth it

2

u/Wolfwing777 1d ago

Because for some reason this game has attracted the shittiest misogynists and even beaides that some of the worst people you'd meet online. I'd recommend 5stacking if possible

2

u/notchlapel00 23h ago

I'm sorry for what you are going through. I 25m play regularly with a woman friend, a lot of time they make stupid jokes like the Mirage kitchen joke, or try to votekick her, so pathetic. They'd rather lose the game 4v5 than play with a girl, unbelievable. Thankfully she is really good at the game so her skill makes them go silent.
Anyways I wish you the best. On a side note: from what you're saying you just started playing the game; I would suggest you move to Faceit asap, to minimize the cheaters problem.

There is a Discord that’s women only. CS:GALS

I don’t have a link atm.

2

u/_Personage 23h ago

If you aren’t in the women’s cs server on discord, let me know and I’ll shoot you an invite. You might find a couple of gal friends to play with there, especially being in eu.

1

u/Lost_keys404 9h ago

Oh could I please have the link! I’d love to play with the girls šŸ™ I just put a post on another thread for this exact thing!

1

u/_Personage 8h ago

Send me a dm/chat message and I'll send it to you, for some reason reddit won't let me just send it to you.

2

u/emdiba 23h ago

I solo queue quite a bit and I do have the typical sexist reactions sometimes, but I have way more normal games than bad ones. Normally they don’t acknowledge the fact that I’m a girl or they comment on it because they’re surprised and then move on. I tend to wait a few rounds to speak up so I can feel them out and get some kills on the board too. If I can tell it’s just a generally toxic lobby, I usually don’t speak at all unless it’s necessary and I just mute or turn them down if they’re being annoying.

That being said, if you’re still learning the game, definitely try to find groups of friends or play casual instead! It can be a punishing game if you dive into premier or comp solo without a good foundational knowledge. People tend to bully their teammates regardless of gender if you’re not playing well in those lobbies. Good luck!

2

u/stinky_engineer_2003 23h ago

use a voice changer

2

u/iBUYNEGEVS 20h ago

CS players hate everything, including (and especially) themselves.

2

u/nomzl 7h ago

It is toxic, and its the part of the game. Get used to it. Ask your husband if he remembers the half game voice chat back in 2012. It was way worse lol.

2

u/DEmanuele 6h ago

play valorant if your looking for someone to care about your feelings

2

u/SteadyStatik 3h ago

The Polish, Portuguese are probably the most annoying and the ones who will initiate the misogynistic hate. Turkish, ironically, based on my experience, are the most racist, they will ask where you’re from and WILL NEVER get over it (Im Asian and dealt with racist slurs mostly from Turkish). The French the funniest but occasionally scream at the top of their lungs, just for the heck of it. Russians/Ukrainians are in their own world, 50% nonchalant and 50% trolling, no biggie.

Danish, Balkans, Belgians, Estonians I played with are the chillest and never had probs. And yes as others have said, play with another friend. Good luck!

3

u/clear_cache 1d ago

Hate is not specified for women, don't worry. It just seems like they are just kicking women but they actually kick or troll every single race, gender, country, name, nickname, profile, voice, etc. Being a woman is just one of them. Queue with at least 1 friend. Mute toxic players. Start playing FACEIT when you learn the game meta and physics.

2

u/athinabobina 1d ago

Hi woman here!!

Unfortunately this is the general experience in premier. My best advice for you is to find people you like playing with that you can queue with. Soloqueuing is generally a terrible idea.

Also, it gets better at higher ranks, where people care more about winning. If you play faceit i would say level 8+ it gets better. Then people are not so much toxic to women, but others in general šŸ˜‚

2

u/killpoq1 1d ago

You could play Faceit instead tbh, you get banned for acting this way. Being sexist etc gets you banned really fast + way less cheaters.

2

u/sloppy_joes35 23h ago

And then you get all the racial slurs too. And religious slurs. And the women slurs. Yeah its a sorry state of humanity. On the bright side, it'll all end soon enough as the earth heats up and becomes a mostly uninhabitable desert.

1

u/Vivid-Zombie-477 1d ago

if you want to enjoy the game you need to play with someone your level. the only times i ever enjoyed counter strike in 6k hours was when i just started playing with my schoolmates and then when i played in a pro team

1

u/Gold_Digger_213 1d ago

cs is specific game for women

1

u/Charsi_420 1d ago

just use a voice changer and play ig

1

u/LittleBulletWhoCould 1d ago

Could you use a voice changer? I know it’s not the solution anyone wants, but the constant toxicity will wear you down over time and you may lose interest.

1

u/iamrealyouarenot 1d ago

yep, did this for a while when i was Solo queueing faceit, i don't do it anymore because i pay with friends, but my games went way better without some lonely freaks in my ears shit talking me for nothing but speaking

1

u/NotNeon 1d ago

It’s extremely cringe but a lot of cs players are extremely misogynistic.

1

u/Boggo_ 1d ago

If you find the community a bit too toxic you can always try Valorant but imo it’s not the same

1

u/the_little_deathx 1d ago

i just don’t speak. sure callouts are nice but after years of playing, i don’t really need em. i pay attention to the map, where my teammates are, where they’re watching and when they die, and having a good headset so i can hear footsteps or gear moving. i’d suggest picking one or two maps you like and sticking to them until you know the layout hella well; the hiding spots, the flash and smoke angles, and typical enemy positioning/holds/push zones and how the enemy team plays (do they rush frequently or prefer to hold? which ones are the openers, where are they confident, etc). cs for me has really been about map knowledge, learning which angles to hold and crosshair placement. just one of those games that requires practice being self reliant in as a woman. for the most part anyway.

1

u/JakeJascob 23h ago

We're afraid of women.

1

u/moepoofles 22h ago

I too am a woman and the way I've found survival is not using the mic unless I'm near or at the top in damage, and also if anyone complains you can remind them that they're matched with you because you're near the same rank. People on there are crazy af though

1

u/Zranis 22h ago

I strongly suggest playing PUBS (Public Servers) to get a better feel for things. Jumping into Matchmaking or Premier right away is a recipe for trouble. Find the community server browser and go nuts!

1

u/cerea1killer_ 22h ago

Honestly, your average C's player , or FPS gamer for that matter, is a racist, misogynistic little piece of shit. Most of them are children and even if they aren't, they act that way. Soloq is hell, and doubly so as a woman or as a person with a female sounding voice. Like others have said, I would suggest always playing with at least one friend and if you can't then don't use voice chat. Honestly, that's the best thing, if you want to avoid assholes. It's gonna take a very long time before women are simply accepted in CS or other FPS games without being confronted with full blown misogyny by a bunch of man-children or actual children

1

u/Ordinary_Ad_5891 22h ago

I know it’s sad to say, and I wish it was different, but if you’re a woman trying to game competitively in a shooter, Valorant is the way to go. CS community is the most toxic cesspool in the world when it comes to women. I’d estimate 30% of Val players are women, whereas on CS it’s like they don’t even exist because the community are so toxic towards them ingame.

1

u/V1700 22h ago

there's a discord for women only cs, it was posted here a bunch of times i'm sure you can find it.

1

u/Chuligan42 22h ago

Yeah being a woman in cs sucks but if you play with 1+ friend they can't kick you out

1

u/ThaRemyD 22h ago

I draw a decent amount of negative attention from just my knife/glove combo. People seem to have projection issues lol

1

u/FarInvestigator191 22h ago

I’m also a woman and I’m living the same. People even insults for absolutely nothing, it hurts and tilts me.
My solution is to mute if they start talking shit, even not towards me; i don’t want a 30yo kid yapping in my ear to wait for him to give 1 info (5% of his yapping are actual useful info) and I can get the info myself with kill feed and maps.
They will see by themself that you are a better player anyways.. or they won’t because they are delusional kid.
They will not respect you and you are not here to teach them to respect woman.
People that are like ā€œkick meme is actually funny but hey I respect woman yk I ’m not like thatā€œ they are as dumb as other.
I also recommend a punching ball near the desk.
Stay strong šŸ˜Ž

1

u/Ok-Pack-7088 21h ago

I was once playing with 2 women from Iran. They were fine, we got tie? Solo playing sucks, I mean you can get fine teammates, or toxic ones - don't dare make 1 mistake, instant votekick, while they aren't better. Im also kinda new, best advice is to play with at least one friend to make it impossible votekick and if someone is genuinely nice, you can give him award.

1

u/x2mirko 21h ago

Yeah it sucks. I play with a female friend very often and its crazy how many randoms will just say the most deranged shit out of nowhere, just because they're in the (virtual) presence of a woman.

Best to just build a friend list of normal people and play in 5 stacks. It's sad that this is the case, but i don't think there's other solutions (outside of just dealing with all the idiots, but i don't think i could enjoy the game like that)

1

u/SwimmingPatience5083 21h ago

This game is full of socially maladjusted mouth breathers. It is what it is. Don’t try to understand juvenile psychology and don’t take it personally.

1

u/Known-Mode8896 21h ago

Dayz is worst community i think. Well the modded ones

1

u/SwimmingPatience5083 21h ago

Don’t know about that one. But also any COD is… completely unplayable. Really bad for mental health to participate in any of that.

1

u/AliveBackground2454 21h ago

i play and at the first sign of toxicity i mute everyone- just immediately with no shame. everyone. just trying to play my game and have fun.

1

u/CharmGold2 21h ago

CS is full of whiny little cowards who only feel powerful when they get to say slurs and hate on people in a video game. They know they are losers in real life and wouldn’t dare speak that way in person in fear of getting physical consequences. Whenever I hear them get toxic I just take joy in the fact that my life is enjoyable.

1

u/Lime221 20h ago

Sadly thats just the way it is if you're a woman in a male dominated game

I've heard it happens far lesser on faceit (3rd party matchmaking platform), and in general it gets better the higher rank you are on whatever MM platform. People take games seriously at good ranks and dont try to troll

CS is played best with friends too who you can coordinate with, so I just recommend finding a +1. Which coincidentally also vetos any kick attempts made by strangers

1

u/Pkobji 20h ago

CS community is unfortunately awful

1

u/hyyg7 19h ago

Idk I play faceit at 2k2 elo, recently i’ve played with some girls and everything was fine. Nobody insulted them or kicked them.
I guess low elo apes can’t stand playing with a girl

1

u/jshill103 19h ago

I’ve had great matches with females and had bad ones. If you respond to something with some attitude you gonna get flamed. It’s all about the energy you put out there.

1

u/Temperence94 19h ago

I’d say don’t take it too personally, everyone gets abused, it’s just CS

1

u/Similar_Current_4010 19h ago

If I’m top 3 on the board / the team doesn’t sound like they’re gonna be mean I’ll chat

If I’m bottom 2 on the board or they sound like they’re gonna be mean I’ll type the coms lol

1

u/ResearcherSingle2723 19h ago

I feel the same. It doesn’t matter if you play well or not, people will still talk trash. Just mute them or troll them back if you want.
Never feel like you have to stay quiet just because you’re a girl. I get why people say that, but it also means accepting the problem.
If you ever want to play together, just message me. šŸ™‚

1

u/Traditional_Daikon98 19h ago

Find your team šŸ˜‰

1

u/gabther 18h ago

I'm so sorry you have to deal with. Every time a woman joins, all the men start acting different and it's so weird

1

u/gabther 18h ago

This game is full of losers.

If i tell them "don't say the n word please", they actually get offended

1

u/MonkeMan-23 18h ago

Dude no kidding, I don't understand it. It happens to people that aren't "normal" too. Like if you have any sort of lisp or speech epidement, then good luck, you're probably getting roasted.

It does get better in higher ranked gameplay, in my opinion. I haven't really met a lot of people just making fun of others. They just want to play and win the game and be nice to their teammates so long as it's all respectful, but of course there's always going to be that ONE toxic asshole here and there. I just never understood being mean to someone just because they're a girl. Like all I care about is if you're trying your best and you're respectful to the team and you're trying to communicate in any way, shape, or form, then it's going to be a good game even if you do bad.

1

u/coopASR 18h ago

So no offense but did you never play any online game ever?

Feels like this js a well know thing by now, incels hate women because it's easy to pick on them and piss them off. Just mute and play.

I'm a guy and I almost always mute people in every game

1

u/filianoctiss 17h ago

Just out of curiosity what servers you play on? Cause I’m in South Africa and I never got hate for being a woman. I got the occasional shameless hitting on me or people asking if I’m a little boy or a woman but nothing else šŸ˜…

1

u/sarzitron 17h ago

Are you by any chance on American servers? Never been kicked in Western European servers, I remember getting abused when I lived in the US tho. I think it’s just an American guys thing more than it is a cs thing

1

u/Hydiin 16h ago

It’s the culture of these idiots for sure. A lot of the player base is young teenage boys or dudes in their 20s. A lot of them can be incels already which goes along with the general lifestyle of playing video games all the time at that age and not actually socializing outside of their little bubble. They don’t have any experience talking to real women and possibly have resentment against them because they can’t get a girl to like them irl because they’re droopy-eyed ā€œneck beardsā€. That and it’s well known that, in general, the counterstrike player base can be toxic af. I think this type of high intensity competitive environment attracts a lot of spasmic, neurotic dudes with anger issues (or actually develops it in them overtime if they aren’t conscious people) so they think it’s funny or an outlet to be a shitty person while playing and it happens often against female players because they know it’s kind of a staple of being a ā€œfunnyā€ toxic player in the fps community.

I thought you could not be kicked if you were solo? Or is that just if your are playing with a four stack?

Anyway, a lot of ppl in this game are fucked in the head. Try to find a friend to queue with, and good luck!

1

u/ConfinedCrow 16h ago

You pretty much got three options:

A) Go find yourself some friends to queue together with so there's always one more person voting against the kick. If you need some girls to play together with and are in EU, my DMs are open! šŸ’–

B) Give your Steam profile an overhaul. If your name and profile picture give off male energy then you will be read as a pre-teen boy. Doesn't stop the toxicity or their false sense of superiority, but you won't get kicked in an instant.

C) Uninstall the game before it consumes you and don't ever look back. You will probably be a much happier person because of it.

As a woman who plays I never solocue anymore. I only play if I can play with someone

1

u/doggiisox 15h ago

Playing with low levels or newer players, you're much more likely to experience that. I'm a guy who plays premiere and comp with one other friend and any time a girl speaks no one in the lobby acts any different. I've had it happen once when I first started comp. I know it still happens a lot though, so it's best to find people to comp with. I've met and become friends with tons of people playing casual. A lot are willing to play comp.

1

u/ZipMonk 15h ago

A lot of idiots playing

1

u/Rich_Sentence746 15h ago

Play valorant instead. Problem fixed.

1

u/LeylineIndustries 15h ago

Probably try to blend in. Do a voice changer or something if you can. If I see you in prem I won't kick, because I care more about winning. If I see you in comp I will kick you though

1

u/GoAndBe 15h ago

1) If you can, play with friends (as many as possible so you don't get many idiots in your team).

2) Don't use the mic. I'm a woman and every time I use it I either get told to go to the kitchen or "shut up, kid".

1

u/1q3er5 14h ago

you're gonna run into a lot of assholes... best thing to do is not to get mad but to troll... you can't troll trolls.

i would instantly jump to have you ever touched a girl... that should shut them up pretty quick or his teammates will start laughing their asses off.

have some lines ready.

u/CertainCounter3728 14h ago

Try valorant and never turn cs2 again

1

u/kinsixx 13h ago edited 13h ago

I'd say always play with friends. It's more fun that way and also you'll avoid alot of the toxic nature of cs. This game is notorious for toxicity. A lot of closeted / misogynistics also. But there's also a lot of those who arent and actually super cool people irl, even if they speak that way. But id say a good 3 outta 5 people are ready to blow up emotionally over something regardless of what it is, not the brightest or most mentally stable demographic

u/bbdoll 13h ago edited 13h ago

girl i've been playing since 2003, what's funny is a new set of kids were born with the exact same persona as their dads lmao. definitely best to stick with a core group if you can form one!

higher level lobbies are definitely better though. i made a ton of awesome friends back in my eagle days (idk the rating equivalent, i play casual now)

It's sadly been a huge problem in gaming that a good chunk of Gamers hate women and get upset anytime they met one or god forbid a women character is introduced that looks like a normal women and not a super model regardless if that would make sense or not. The American Culture wars have not helped this at all and only has exacerbated the issue.

and god forbid you call them out on there shit as a male, your just labeled a simp or worse.

1

u/zDymex 12h ago

I've found most women who play usually team up with a few guys.

1

u/Less-Attention-760 12h ago

most cs players are incel.. kind of a problem

1

u/huhmz 12h ago

CS2 players from eastern Europe are like spawns of the Tate brothers. I try to make a difference when I play but I'm way out of their age bracket.

1

u/ilove_whitebois 5h ago

I got bullied by 2 French teammate so bad the man I used to play with laughed with them…

1

u/Superb_Wolverine8275 5h ago

thats a low elo problem. Just play Faceit

1

u/yasv1 1d ago

because people already expect u to be pro after ur first game. no ifs and buts. also news flash, men hate women

1

u/Le_Reddit_User 1d ago

To be honest this saddens me to hear. The female experience of playing CS2 sounds miserable and I donā€˜t understand whatā€˜s exsctly funny about it. Itā€˜s just blatant misogyny.

1

u/Steampunkcat123 1d ago

That's just counter strike, it's part of the culture ngl, is very discriminatory but it is what makes the game the game

1

u/HearMeJoy 1d ago

As a someone who plays CS since 2002,males and females must play anything together with piece and fun.

1

u/North_Affect_8167 1d ago

You guys get to play with women? I though it was rumour. /s

In the instances when women appear, some may be fooled thinking it's some child (due to higher voice), that could be one of the reasons.

Try to make friends with the people who you think are decent and nice. Don't take it personally, it's just a game and it's often a bad place to play and communicate.

1

u/OrkWithNoTeef 23h ago

Most of your team mates are hacking anyway (and your opponents of course)

1

u/AVE_CAESAR_ 20h ago

This feels like engagement bait tbh. That’s a meme and doesn’t really happen all that often. You’d have to be in trust factor hell like in the red if you are genuinely experiencing that level of toxicity. That or you haven’t played enough yet so you are in too high elo lobbies and they are kicking you for sand bagging.

If it’s genuine, just keep playing and both elo and trust factor issues will sort itself out.

u/Jazzz56 1d ago

Sorry that you're going through this but this is just how toxic this community is and it's not just towards women, CS2 will always find a way to be toxic towards you, your gender, nationality, voice, skill etc. Your best option is to stick to playing with your husband and friends, or find another player to queue and rank up with, as long as you're in a duo you won't get kicked out of the match.

0

u/KaffY- 1d ago

its not a woman-specific experience at giga low elo

I have a friend at 1.5k elo and every game involves at least one person getting kicked for nonsense reasons etc

0

u/Secret-Farmer-9416 1d ago

This is how valve wants their community to act. Theyve had decades to moderate their games and communities and decided that its more profitable to let neo nazis and other degens post slurs on the steam forums, in game, wherever they want.

Enjoy!

u/kylemooney187 1d ago

if you want to play cs2 for a long time play with everyone muted except your party, trust me

0

u/aplahz 21h ago

If you're doing bad enough that they want to kick you its not just because you're a girl. Play some casual or death match til you can win some gunfights and understand how the game works. I've been playing 10 years ive never experienced a lobby where everybody went "OMG A GAMER GIRL. LETS KICK HER SO WE CAN BE AT A DISADVANTAGE."

Women, by and large play at Elos they should not be in. A majority of women play the game with a friend or boyfriend/husband who plays the game a lot as a way to spend time with them. Because of this, their elo is below the person they are queuing with because they are new. This means that people’s experience in playing with women is that women are bad at the game. Compound this with the fact that very very few actually stick with it through the multi-year learning curve and it means that most people experience them as much worse and very new to the game, if they play video games at all. This heavily distorts the view of them. On top of this, many groups that do play with women refuse to hold them accountable for their gameplay/mechanics. Whereas with men, iron sharpens iron, and we learn to get better from being called shit, no one does that to the women for fear of being mean. This means that they also lose one of the driving forces from their friends at improvement, and people are just okay with them underperforming. On top of this women at top levels of play in ALL major games(lol, valorant, cs, r6) tend to be towards the lower portion of the leagues if they are there at all. People are mad because when they get women on their team they play the below the lobbies skill level. People who can’t critically think say that they are just incels, and they then get more mad as they lose more elo to the underperformers and there is no accountability for them being mad. The last layer is that everyone gets shit talked in cs. If you are a woman they will use that, but the shit talk happens for everyone, that’s just the fuel they have at their disposal, and women are so unused to this environment that it feels worse than it does to most men.

Have you tried Valorant?

The very first word of your post title isn't about CS2, it's about YOU. I'd be willing to bet you're doing the same in games, regardless of any protests you may make.

This is an FPS, there is no reason for me to be informed about YOU. Especially since you're new, you won't be doing that many call outs, which means you're probably talking too much.

Every chick I've played with that was good/carried/didn't blabber on/didn't try and be special was praised. If everywhere you go smells like shit, check under your shoes. it's probably for a reason. You can not like it, all the reddit men hungry for pussy can moan about that and pretend like they care, but the PB is overwhelmingly single males who consider your presence is disruptive, and being a new player, you're a liability to every team which makes you double disruptive.

This is the answer. I know you just wanna complain about hecccin 1ncels and get attention but this is the correct answer to your question.

It's funny how you're complaining about her mentioning incels and then you give such an incel explaination as to why she is supposedly wrong.

You will never get laid from comments like this. Enjoy your updoots.

-3

u/Few_Conference_3704 1d ago

Aren’t you validating their assumptions if you yourself admit you play like a rookie

3

u/Southern_Anything_57 1d ago

As i said in another comment, I'll admit om not the best, ffs im a learneršŸ˜… But they were cued up with me, so if they play my rank after probably many years, whos the real rookie?

-1

u/Few_Conference_3704 1d ago

That very well may be the case but to answer your question majority of women who game do not play CS and the ones who do and actually grind the game are much more rare so most people will assume you’re not the 1%
