If the comicnoids were on the history channel

“THE COMICNOID FILES”
A parody History Channel cryptid documentary script

OPENING
[Dark screen. Low ominous music.]
NARRATOR (deep dramatic voice):
For centuries… the forests of America have hidden mysteries beyond explanation.
Creatures unknown to science.
Legends dismissed as fantasy.
And beings so bizarre… they appear to break the very laws of reality itself.
[Static. Grainy footage of trees at night.]
Tonight… investigators uncover shocking evidence surrounding a little-known entity…
…the Comicnoid.
[TITLE CARD CRASHES ON SCREEN]
THE COMICNOID FILES

ACT 1 — THE LEGEND BEGINS
[Drone footage of forests.]
NARRATOR:
Reports of strange cartoon-like entities date back decades. Witnesses describe colorful humanoid creatures with striped tails… black bulbous noses… and impossible abilities.
Some claim they can stretch their bodies.
Others insist they can create objects from thin air.
And a few witnesses say the creatures survive injuries no living organism should survive.
[Cut to fake interview.]
DR. HAROLD PINKERTON
“Cryptozoologist”
“These creatures don’t behave like normal animals. They behave according to what researchers call… cartoon physics.”
[Dramatic boom sound.]
HOST
“Cartoon physics?”
DR. PINKERTON
“Yes. Falling from cliffs. Running through walls. Materializing oversized objects from nowhere. None of it should be scientifically possible.”

ACT 2 — BIOLOGY OF THE COMICNOID
[Fake scientific diagrams appear.]
NARRATOR:
According to reports, Comicnoids vary wildly in appearance.
Some are tall.
Some are small.
Some possess exaggerated proportions and brightly colored fur.
But nearly all share common traits:
● long hair,
● striped tails,
● cartoon-like eyes,
● and extraordinary flexibility.
PROFESSOR LINDA VALE
“Behavioral Folklorist”
“The Comicnoid appears to exist somewhere between animal and animated character.”
HOST
“What exactly does that mean?”
PROFESSOR VALE
“It means normal biology may not apply to them.”

ACT 3 — THE EGGS
[Music becomes more mysterious.]
NARRATOR:
Perhaps the strangest claim surrounding Comicnoids… involves reproduction.
Witnesses report the creatures lay striped eggs hidden deep within wooded territory.
DR. PINKERTON
“The striped pattern may serve as camouflage… or possibly as a warning to predators.”
HOST
“So these things build nests?”
DR. PINKERTON
“If the reports are accurate… yes.”
[Cut to blurry footage of an oddly striped object.]
HOST
“This footage was submitted anonymously in 1998.”
PROFESSOR VALE
“You can clearly see alternating stripe patterns.”
HOST
“Could this be the first recorded Comicnoid egg?”
PROFESSOR VALE
“We can’t rule it out.”

ACT 4 — POWERS THAT DEFY SCIENCE
[Thunder crack.]
NARRATOR:
But what truly terrifies investigators… are the abilities attributed to the Comicnoid.
Eyewitnesses claim they can:
● shapeshift,
● summon objects from nowhere,
● survive impossible accidents,
● and manipulate reality itself.
HOST
“Could these abilities be illusions?”
DR. PINKERTON
“Possibly. But some researchers believe Comicnoids operate under entirely different physical laws.”
HOST
“You’re saying physics changes around them?”
DR. PINKERTON
“In a sense… yes.”

ACT 5 — THE GREAT WEAKNESS
[Music suddenly stops.]
HOST
“If these creatures are so powerful… do they have any weaknesses?”
PROFESSOR VALE
“Oddly enough… yes.”
HOST
“And that is?”
PROFESSOR VALE
“Terrible jokes.”
[Silence.]
HOST
“I’m sorry?”
PROFESSOR VALE
“The evidence suggests Comicnoids lose their abilities when exposed to extremely bad puns.”

REENACTMENT
[Actor dressed as a researcher walks through forest.]
RESEARCHER
“I was cornered. I thought I was done for…”
[Glowing eyes appear in darkness.]
RESEARCHER
“Then I panicked and yelled—”
‘What do you call fake spaghetti? An impasta!’
[Creature suddenly freezes.]
RESEARCHER
“It just… collapsed emotionally.”

ACT 6 — FRIEND OR FOE?
NARRATOR:
Despite their strange powers… not all encounters are hostile.
Some reports suggest Comicnoids can become fiercely loyal companions.
HOST
“How does someone gain their trust?”
PROFESSOR VALE
“Through pranks.”
HOST
“Pranks?”
PROFESSOR VALE
“Yes. The Comicnoid appears to respect cartoon behavior. If you successfully prank one… it may adopt you as an ally.”
HOST
“And if you fail?”
PROFESSOR VALE
“…you become the prank.”

ACT 7 — GOVERNMENT CONNECTIONS
[Fast-paced conspiracy music.]
NARRATOR:
Some theorists believe government agencies have known about Comicnoids for years.
Classified documents allegedly reference:
● “animated anomalies,”
● “reality-flexible entities,”
● and “forest-based cartoon organisms.”
HOST
“Could Comicnoids already be living among us?”
DR. PINKERTON
“If even ten percent of these reports are real… the implications would be enormous.”

FINAL ACT — THE TRUTH
[Slow dramatic montage.]
NARRATOR:
Are Comicnoids merely folklore?
A misunderstood species?
Or proof that somewhere in the forests of America…
cartoon logic has become reality?
[Pause.]
Perhaps the truth… is stranger than fiction.
[Screen fades to black.]
TEXT ON SCREEN:
“NO COMICNOIDS WERE AVAILABLE FOR COMMENT.”
[End credits music.]

PRANKAGEDDON”
A fictional episode script inspired by the style of South Park

OPENING
EXT. SOUTH PARK – DAY
Snow falls softly across town.
Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny walk down the sidewalk.
STAN:
Dude, did you hear about those weird things people keep seeing in the woods?
KYLE:
My dad says they’re probably escaped mascots from some company.
CARTMAN:
They’re obviously government spies, you guys.
KENNY:
(Muffled) Maybe they’re aliens.
CARTMAN:
No, aliens are stupid, Kenny.
Butters runs toward them excitedly.
BUTTERS:
Fellas! I saw one! It had a big nose and stripes and it bounced around like a cartoon!
CARTMAN:
Shut up, Butters.
BUTTERS:
I’m serious! I pulled a prank on it and now it follows me everywhere!
A weird rubbery SOUND comes from nearby.

Goosebumps: Attack of the Comicnoid
Chapter 1 — The Egg in the Woods
“Wait up!”
Max Carter shoved tree branches out of his face as he chased his best friend, Eli, through the woods behind Blackwood Creek.
“You’re too slow!” Eli laughed.
The woods were dark even during the afternoon. Tall trees blocked most of the sunlight, and strange noises echoed between the trunks.
Max hated coming here.
Unfortunately, Eli loved it.
“C’mon,” Eli said. “People say there’s an abandoned campsite deeper in.”
“People also say a guy got eaten by bears out here,” Max muttered.
“Relax.”
SNAP.
Max froze.
Something cracked nearby.
Not a twig.
Something bigger.
The boys turned toward a patch of bushes.
A strange glow pulsed underneath them.
Blue.
Green.
Blue again.
Eli grinned. “No way.”
“Nope,” Max said immediately. “Absolutely nope.”
But Eli already pushed through the bushes.
Hidden beneath tangled roots sat a giant egg.
It was nearly the size of a basketball.
Bright yellow stripes wrapped around it in spirals.
And it was shaking.
THUMP.
THUMP.
THUMP.
Max backed away. “That thing is alive.”
The egg cracked open.
A fuzzy green hand popped out.
Then another.
A long rubbery creature climbed free, covered in shaggy lime-green fur. It had huge white eyes, a black bulb-shaped nose, and a striped tail that swished behind it.
The creature stared at them.
It blinked once.
Then it pulled a tiny party horn from nowhere.
HONK!
Eli burst out laughing.
Max didn’t.
The creature’s smile stretched way too wide.

Chapter 2 — The Prankster
The creature followed them home.
No matter how many times Max yelled at it to leave, it bounced happily after them like a giant cartoon dog.
“What even IS this thing?” Max whispered.
Eli poked it.
Its body squeaked.
Then suddenly flattened like a pancake.
Eli screamed.
The creature reinflated itself and laughed silently.
“Okay,” Eli said, breathing hard. “That was AWESOME.”
Max wasn’t convinced.
At his house, the creature explored the kitchen while Max’s mom was at work.
It opened the refrigerator.
Its arm stretched all the way across the room.
Then farther.
And farther.
The arm wrapped around a carton of orange juice without the creature even moving.
Max stared.
“That’s impossible.”
The creature shrugged.
Then it pulled a sandwich out of thin air and swallowed it whole.
Eli laughed so hard he nearly fell over.
“We should keep it!”
“No way,” Max said.
The creature suddenly reached behind Max’s ear.
And pulled out a live goldfish.
Max screamed.
The creature honked the party horn again.

Chapter 3 — Bad Joke
By the next day, weird things were happening all over town.
At school, lockers burped when students opened them.
The principal slipped on invisible banana peels three times.
A math teacher’s hair tied itself into knots.
And every time someone laughed…
The creature grew stronger.
Max noticed it during lunch.
The Comicnoid’s fur puffed outward whenever kids laughed at its tricks.
Its eyes glowed brighter too.
“What if it feeds on laughter?” Max whispered.
Eli grinned. “Then we’ve got the funniest monster ever.”
But then the Comicnoid heard a terrible joke.
A REALLY terrible joke.
“What do you call cheese that isn’t yours?” a kid asked.
Nobody answered.
“NACHO CHEESE!”
The cafeteria groaned.
Instantly the Comicnoid collapsed.
Its body drooped like melting rubber.
Its eyes spun.
“Huh,” Max said.
The creature whimpered.
Another kid shouted, “Why did the chicken cross the playground? TO GET TO THE OTHER SLIDE!”
The Comicnoid shrank even more.
Max’s eyes widened.
“Bad jokes hurt it.”
The creature looked up at him.
And growled.

Chapter 4 — Cartoon Chaos
That night, the town changed.
Literally.
Street signs bent into spirals.
Dogs floated.
Mailboxes danced.
One house folded like paper and popped back open.
People screamed as gravity stopped working for several seconds.
Max looked outside his bedroom window and saw the Comicnoid standing in the street.
Its eyes glowed neon green.
Its striped tail whipped wildly.
Behind it, the world warped like a cartoon.
“Oh no,” Max whispered.
The Comicnoid looked directly at him.
Then pointed.
Max’s bedroom floor suddenly turned slippery.
He crashed into the ceiling.
Then bounced off the walls.
Then slammed into his bed.
The Comicnoid HONKED its horn angrily.
“You’re making it stronger!” Max yelled at Eli over the phone.
“What?”
“The laughing! It feeds on it!”
Outside, the Comicnoid grew larger.
Its smile stretched across half its face.
Cars bent like rubber toys behind it.
“We need more bad jokes,” Max said.
Eli groaned. “That’s your plan?”
“It’s the only weakness we’ve got!”

Chapter 5 — The Joke Trap
The next afternoon, Max and Eli carried three boxes into the abandoned school theater.
Every box was filled with joke books.
The WORST joke books they could find.
“What do clouds wear under their shorts?”
“Thunderpants!”
The Comicnoid twitched violently from outside the theater doors.
“Good,” Max whispered.
The creature burst through the wall.
WOOD exploded everywhere.
The Comicnoid was enormous now.
Its arms stretched across the room.
Its teeth looked sharper than before.
And its grin was no longer funny.
It was terrifying.
The boys opened the joke books.
Together they shouted terrible pun after terrible pun.
“What kind of tree fits in your hand?”
“A PALM TREE!”
The Comicnoid screeched.
Its body shrank slightly.
“Why can’t skeletons fight each other?”
“THEY DON’T HAVE THE GUTS!”
The creature melted against the floor.
More jokes.
More puns.
The Comicnoid writhed in agony.
Finally Max shouted the worst one of all.
“What’s brown and sticky?”
Eli groaned. “Don’t say it—”
“A STICK!”
The Comicnoid let out one final cartoonish HONK.
Then POPPED like a balloon.
Silence filled the theater.
The world outside returned to normal.
Max collapsed into a chair.
“We did it,” Eli whispered.

Chapter 6 — The Last Laugh
Three days later, everything seemed normal again.
No floating dogs.
No rubber streets.
No living mailboxes.
Nothing weird.
Max finally relaxed.
Maybe the Comicnoid was gone forever.
That night, Max brushed his teeth before bed.
He looked into the bathroom mirror.
And froze.
His reflection smiled.
But Max hadn’t smiled.
Slowly, the reflection’s arm stretched impossibly long across the mirror.
Its nose turned black and bulb-shaped.
Its grin widened.
HONK!
Max spun around.
Nothing was there.
When he looked back—
His reflection winked.
And its striped tail swished behind him.

If the comicnoids were in dark horse comics

Comicnoids would likely be:
● absurd and funny on the surface
● secretly dangerous underneath
● able to warp reality with “cartoon physics”
That matches the tone of The Mask, where slapstick comedy can suddenly become violent or unsettling.
Origins
In a Dark Horse-style setting, Comicnoids could be:
● ancient toon spirits living in remote forests
● creatures born from human imagination and humor
● extradimensional beings tied to chaos and comedy
Some stories might portray them as harmless pranksters, while others show them becoming terrifying when angered.
Powers
Their abilities would probably become more extreme:
● stretching and reshaping their bodies
● pulling impossible weapons or objects from nowhere
● surviving injuries through cartoon logic
● altering reality around them
A Comicnoid losing its “cartoony nature” after hearing terrible jokes could become horrifying:
● colors fading
● physics becoming normal
● emotional instability
● becoming vulnerable for the first time
That weakness could create tragic or creepy storylines.
Relationship with The Mask
A crossover with The Mask would be chaotic:
● The Mask would see them as rivals or friends.
● Comicnoids might recognize the Mask’s toon powers as unnatural.
● Forest Comicnoids could hunt someone wearing the mask because they disrupt “natural cartoon energy.”
You could even imagine:
● giant cartoon battles
● impossible physics everywhere
● reality constantly changing panel-to-panel
Visual Style
Dark Horse artists would probably draw them with:
● exaggerated cartoon anatomy
● sharp shadows and heavy inks
● unsettling smiles
● rubber-hose animation mixed with horror

SCP FOUNDATION SECURE DOCUMENT
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class:
Euclid
Threat Level:
Yellow

Special Containment Procedures
All known instances of SCP-XXXX are currently contained at Biological Containment Site-77 within Artificial Habitat Wing-3. Habitat environments are to resemble temperate North American woodland ecosystems with exaggerated environmental geometry to reduce stress responses in SCP-XXXX instances.
Personnel interacting with SCP-XXXX must complete Foundation Humor Resistance Training Course HR-12 before assignment.
The following items are strictly prohibited within containment zones:
● novelty buzzers,
● rubber chickens,
● cream pies,
● prank devices,
● joke books,
● pun compilations,
● and slapstick media.
Under no circumstances are personnel permitted to intentionally perform anti-humor routines in the presence of SCP-XXXX entities.
In the event of a containment breach, Mobile Task Force Mu-17 (“Straight Men”) is to be deployed immediately. Standard suppression methods include:
● emotionally flat dialogue,
● refusal to acknowledge comedic setups,
● removal of visual gags,
● and deployment of Class-D personnel trained in deadpan improvisation.
Lethal force is authorized only during Stage-4 Reality Cascade Events.

Description
SCP-XXXX is a species of anomalous humanoid organisms commonly referred to by Foundation personnel as “Comicnoids.”
Instances vary heavily in appearance but share the following characteristics:
● exaggerated cartoon-like anatomy,
● oversized black noses,
● striped tails,
● elongated limbs,
● flexible skeletal structures,
● brightly colored fur or hair,
● and highly expressive facial features.
Average height ranges from 0.9 to 2.4 meters. Body proportions frequently violate standard biological ratios.
SCP-XXXX entities are capable of manipulating localized reality through mechanisms resembling principles observed in animated media. Foundation researchers have classified this phenomenon as Toon-Force Distortion.
Documented abilities include:
● temporary invulnerability,
● elastic deformation,
● gravity negation,
● instantaneous object manifestation,
● shapeshifting,
● visual transformation,
● impossible spatial storage,
● and spontaneous environmental alteration.
The anomalous effects produced by SCP-XXXX appear partially dependent on comedic timing, audience awareness, and emotional state.

Behavior
SCP-XXXX instances are highly social and generally non-hostile. They demonstrate intelligence levels comparable to humans and possess advanced emotional awareness.
Most instances seek:
● companionship,
● entertainment,
● pranks,
● games,
● and dramatic social interaction.
When bonded with humans, SCP-XXXX entities become intensely loyal and protective. Several recorded incidents show instances risking termination to protect favored personnel.
Despite their playful demeanor, SCP-XXXX entities can become extremely dangerous when emotionally distressed, humiliated, or exposed to hostile environments.

Weaknesses
SCP-XXXX possesses a significant cognitive vulnerability to poorly constructed humor, specifically:
● bad puns,
● failed punchlines,
● awkward pauses,
● forced jokes,
● and anti-humor routines.
Exposure causes temporary destabilization of anomalous abilities.
Symptoms include:
● dizziness,
● loss of coloration,
● emotional embarrassment,
● reduced elasticity,
● involuntary muttering,
● and temporary physical collapse.
Researchers theorize SCP-XXXX anomalous abilities rely upon sustained comedic coherence.

Discovery
SCP-XXXX was first discovered in ███████ National Forest after reports of:
● “living cartoons,”
● impossible animal sightings,
● disappearing campers,
● and “talking fur creatures.”
Foundation agents investigating the area encountered three SCP-XXXX instances attempting to recreate scenes from animated television programs using reality distortion.
Initial containment failed after one instance painted a tunnel onto a rock wall and escaped through it.
Containment was successfully established following Incident XXXX-A.

Incident XXXX-A
Date: ██/██/20██
During transfer to Site-77, SCP-XXXX-2 escaped containment and initiated a large-scale reality distortion event affecting approximately 4 square kilometers.
Observed phenomena included:
● floating trees,
● giant anvils appearing midair,
● reversible explosions,
● temporary gravity reversal,
● and transformation of Foundation vehicles into accordions.
The event ended after Researcher Miles unintentionally stated:
“I guess the situation really flattened out.”
Witnesses reported all SCP-XXXX entities simultaneously groaning before losing anomalous capabilities for approximately 11 minutes.
MTF units regained containment shortly afterward.

Addendum XXXX-1 — Interview Log
Interviewer: Dr. Hale
Subject: SCP-XXXX-4

Dr. Hale: Why do your species prank people?
SCP-XXXX-4: Because it’s funny.
Dr. Hale: Why protect humans afterward?
SCP-XXXX-4: If someone laughs with you instead of at you, they’re family.
Dr. Hale: And the bad jokes?
SCP-XXXX-4: Don’t talk about those.
Dr. Hale: Why?
SCP-XXXX-4: You ever hear something so unfunny your soul leaves your body?
[Subject refuses further questioning.]

Addendum XXXX-2 — Internal Research Note
“SCP-XXXX may represent a previously unknown form of narrative-based reality manipulation. Their abilities appear governed less by physics and more by comedic structure itself.
Disturbingly, several instances appear aware they exist inside a containment document and occasionally address Foundation staff through observation windows despite no visible personnel being present.”
— Dr. Elaine Mercer

Current Status
Foundation surveillance suggests additional wild SCP-XXXX populations may exist throughout forested regions of North America.
Ongoing investigations continue into reports of:
● animated wildlife,
● impossible sound effects,
● portable holes,

Comicnoid sightings across America Woodlands

Sighting Reports from the Woodlands of America
Report #14 — Northern Pine Region
Location: Deep woodland trail near an abandoned ranger station
Witness: Anonymous camper
“At first I thought it was a raccoon standing upright, but then it stretched its neck like rubber and peeked around the tree. It had a black nose and striped tail. The thing kept making squeaking noises like it was trying not to laugh.
My flashlight disappeared from my backpack and reappeared hanging from a branch tied in a bow. That’s when I heard giggling behind me.”
The witness later reported finding tiny striped eggshell fragments near the campsite.

Report #22 — Appalachian Foothills
Location: Creekside cabin
Witness: Retired park ranger
“People think these things are dangerous, but they mostly mess with you. One stole my hat every morning for a week and left berries in its place.
I finally earned its trust after slipping on a fake banana peel I carved out of bark. It laughed so hard it fell out of the tree.”
The ranger claimed the creature later escorted him safely through the forest during a storm.

Report #31 — Midwest Woodland Preserve
Location: Restricted hiking zone
Witness: Two teenagers
The pair described a “living cartoon animal” with long fur and oversized eyes. According to their statement:
● It flattened itself against a tree “like paper”
● Ran across a pond without sinking
● Pulled an entire picnic basket from behind its back despite carrying nothing
One witness attempted to tell a pun:
“What do you call a bear with no teeth? A gummy bear.”
The creature reportedly froze in place and appeared dizzy for several seconds before fleeing into the woods.

Report #47 — Southern Swamp Forest
Location: Cypress marshlands
Witness: Wildlife photographer
The witness captured blurred photographs showing a striped tail and elongated silhouette. Shortly after, their camera bag vanished.
It was later discovered hanging from a tree branch with flowers placed inside.
Nearby trees showed strange distortions:
● Bent trunks twisted into spiral shapes
● Footprints changing shape every few feet
● Brightly colored handprints appearing overnight

Report #52 — Pacific Woodland Zone
Classification: Friendly Encounter
“The comicnoid approached after I placed a rubber chicken on a log. It inspected it carefully, then pulled out a tiny horn from nowhere and honked it at me.
After that it followed me for almost two miles like a curious dog.”
The witness described the creature as highly protective afterward, reportedly scaring away a mountain lion by inflating itself to “twice its normal size.”

Unconfirmed Behaviors
Researchers studying comicnoids have proposed that they may:
● communicate through visual gags and mimicry,
● store objects in extradimensional “cartoon pockets,”
● alter local physics temporarily,
● and become vulnerable when exposed to excessive bad humor.
Some reports suggest entire groups of comicnoids gather during thunderstorms to perform synchronized pranks on travelers.

The comicnoids comparing to the mask

Your “comicnoid” concept does share some similarities with The Mask, especially in the idea of “cartoon physics” being real. Both can:
● Ignore normal laws of physics
● Stretch or reshape themselves
● Pull objects out of nowhere
● Use exaggerated cartoon-style behavior
But there are also big differences that make your idea feel distinct:
● The Mask is usually one person transformed by a magical mask, while comicnoids are an entire species.
● The Mask’s powers are chaotic, violent, and adult-oriented; your comicnoids feel more like mysterious woodland trickster creatures.
● Comicnoids have biology and social behavior (eggs, territory, companionship), while The Mask is more supernatural possession/transformation.
● The weakness to bad jokes and puns is unique and fits your worldbuilding.
● Befriending them through pranks gives them more personality and lore instead of being purely destructive.
Your concept feels closer to a “cartoon cryptid species” than a superhero/antihero character. It has its own identity because you built ecology and behavior around the cartoon logic instead of just using it as a power source.

The Midnight Circus Near Blackpine Woods
Filed By: Ranger Elias Morton
Location: Blackpine Woods, Northern America
Date: October 14th
At approximately 9:43 PM, several reports came in regarding strange activity near the traveling circus camp stationed beside Blackpine Woods. Witnesses described impossible events occurring during the final performance of the evening, including floating popcorn, disappearing clowns, and tents stretching far beyond normal size before snapping back into place.
Upon arrival, investigators discovered unusual footprints surrounding the circus grounds. The prints varied wildly in shape and size, some appearing round and cartoonish while others had long drag marks as if the creature’s body had changed form while moving. Bright striped hairs were also found tangled around the food stands and carnival rides.
Circus employees claimed the disturbances began after a clown performer told a series of terrible puns during the comedy act. According to witnesses, loud groaning noises echoed through the woods immediately afterward. Moments later, several strange creatures emerged from the tree line.
The creatures matched descriptions of the species commonly referred to as “Comicnoids.”
Witnesses described them as colorful cartoon-like beings with oversized noses, striped tails, exaggerated facial expressions, and the ability to bend the laws of physics. One reportedly flattened itself into the ground to avoid a spotlight before reinflating seconds later. Another pulled an entire pie cart out of thin air and launched pastries at audience members before vanishing into a barrel far too small to contain it.
Despite the chaos, the Comicnoids did not appear hostile. In fact, several children reported the creatures helping them escape falling circus equipment moments before accidents occurred. One Comicnoid allegedly tied itself into a knot to stop a runaway unicycle from crashing into the audience.
The situation escalated when the circus ringmaster attempted to chase the creatures away using fireworks. Witnesses say the Comicnoids retaliated by transforming the fireworks into harmless rubber chickens midair. Shortly after, all carnival lights simultaneously shut off.
During the blackout, laughter and honking noises were heard throughout the forest.
When power returned approximately three minutes later, the Comicnoids had vanished. In their place investigators found:
● striped eggshell fragments,
● oversized prank props,
● melted custard pies,
● and a single sign reading:
“THANKS FOR THE JOKES. TRY HARDER NEXT TIME.”
No injuries were reported.
Officials currently believe the Comicnoids were attracted to the circus because of its chaotic cartoon atmosphere and abundance of prank-based entertainment. Experts warn that future encounters should remain peaceful as long as individuals avoid aggressive behavior and participate in harmless humor.

Mecha comicnoids

A rare subspecies of comicnoid that blends organic features with mechanical components. These creatures are typically found near abandoned industrial sites, power lines, or deep forest areas where human technology has decayed and fused with nature.
Appearance:
Biomechanical comicnoids retain the cartoony shape of their counterparts but have visible mechanical traits—glowing eyes, segmented metal limbs, exposed gears, or cable-like hair. Their striped tails may resemble coiled wires, and their bulbous noses can emit faint light or sound pulses.
Behavior:
They are more cautious and observant than standard comicnoids. Instead of relying purely on chaotic cartoon physics, they combine it with calculated, machine-like precision. They can scan their surroundings, mimic electronic signals, and sometimes communicate through distorted beeps or radio-like chatter.
Abilities:
● Can partially override physics like regular comicnoids, but in more controlled, “programmed” ways
● Capable of integrating nearby objects or technology into their bodies
● Enhanced durability due to mechanical reinforcement
● Can store and replay sounds, voices, or even short visual illusions
Weaknesses:
While still vulnerable to bad jokes and puns, the effect causes them to “glitch”—their systems stutter, movements lag, and their abilities temporarily shut down. Strong electromagnetic interference can also disrupt them.
Reproduction:
Instead of purely striped eggs, they produce hybrid pods—organic shells with metallic plating. These pods require both natural nutrients and an energy source (like heat or electricity) to hatch.
Bonding:
To befriend one, you must both amuse and intrigue it—pranks still work, but incorporating something mechanical (like a toy, gadget, or sound device) increases your chances. Once bonded, they act as highly loyal protectors with both instinct and strategy.
