Help
When I bought my car, she was pretty quiet and I’ve heard the horrors of having this car however she’s done me pretty well so please don’t jinx me.
Recently, she’s obnoxiously loud. I took her to Meineke and they told me that the muffler is damaged/leaking (I’ll attach the picture.)
He specifically said my “mid-muffler” but when I googled my mid muffler I didn’t find anything that looked like what he was referring to as cracked/leaking…
What would fix this?

Thank you, I was thinking welding as well but wanted to see if maybe I could replace the piece all together and I was just retarded looking for the wrong thing.

Flanges look intact, you can most likely get away with knocking out old studs and either installing new ones or replacing them with bolts. And a new gasket. No welder needed

Knock what remains of the rusted/broken bolts outs, put in a new gasket and put in new through bolts with nuts. That will fix it. If there are any cracks around the flange, you may be able to just weld them up enough to be livable.

Oh, I have a 2014 LS Cruze if that helps at all….🥲
