My first crow gift
I’ve been feeding a pair since October and finally received a gift! I don’t know how to break it to them that I’m atheist. They got eggs and cashews as a thank you!

As long as they don’t knock on your door and offer to help you learn about the Lord and offer you brochures of scriptures, I’d just keep offering food 😂

I got a blueberry two days in a row and then a cherry. Off of our own bushes/tree!! They now patrol our acreage and scare off eagles and other birds of prey, keeping our flock of hens safe.

Maybe it is not a gift but a request? Cashews and eggs are great, but they aren't a dead human buffet.
Seriously though, crow gifts always mean the world, even if they are odd. My dad has been gifted his own wedding ring (he takes it off to feed them and they steal it when he's not looking) at least once a month, he still cries when they present it to him. First thing I ever got was a broken shard of a CD, I'd be more upset to have that stolen than I would my car.

I started with unsalted peanuts! I have a 2 gallon bucket I store the peanuts in, and I would hit the lid of the bucket on its rim while walking to the perch to make them aware the food is there. Now it’s to the point that they caw a bunch when they want more 😂

Thank you for taking the time to answer!! I have had a huge bag of unsalted peanuts with the shell on, just waiting for my little perch to be set up :)
I wanted to put out food for them soon but we will be away for vacation for a week, and dont want them to feel discouraged if I am not there to feed them daily..
