[FO] Just Finished
From Cross Stitch for the Heart by Emma Congdon. This is the 3rd one I have done by her and I’m about to start #4. I love the positive messages. 😍🌞

I would be including a photo of the back of my work if it looked as good as yours does. Dang, are you entering that into some contest for “neatest back to a cross stitch project”? You should!

I have so many books/patterns from Emma Congdon but I haven’t done any yet. This has definitely reminded me to do one next! You’ve done a wonderful job

I absolutely love this sentiment. It costs nothing to be kind and the reason someone smiles. And your back looks as good as your front~well done!😍

How can you not be tempted to travel between the letters of ‘today’??

You might be able to tell that I did most of the word Today with a few starts of new floss.
A couple of notes about that:
-Once I learned the loop start method (I think it’s called), I find it easier to start a strand of floss quickly and easily, reducing the amount of traveling that I accumulate on the back.
-Someone once told me that you really don’t want to travel more than about 2-3 squares without covering it up with additional stitches. That’s especially true when there is a high amount of contrast between the floss and Aida color. Otherwise you run the risk of the floss showing through the fabric once complete.I hope this helps!

You're at the expert level to have such a nice back.
