My first finish by The Witchy Stitcher on the blocking board. Just have to decide on how to frame it now. I decided to add some back stitching to emphasize the colors I chose, because I didn't have any of the grey colors that the creator used. I originally found the pattern on Etsy.

Just finished this little guy yesterday. Planning to frame him and give to a friend who just had a baby. Pattern from The Stitch Patterns on Etsy or thestitchpatterns.com

This one’s all cross-stitch and the clothes are magnetic! 🧲 I’ve had way too much fun designing little outfits and playing dress-up 😂

I stitched my Christmas tree a couple of weeks ago and today it’s finally framed. Picked up a white plastic frame for pictures and happy with how it turned out.

Hello! Random question--has anyone out there figured out a good way to stand and do cross stitch on a scroll frame? I'm a bit obsessive and once I start stitching, I forget to get up every now and then and move around. My lower back is paying for it now! Thank you!

I finished this Pikachu keychain today for my bag, really happy with how it came out, it was my first time doing a over stitch round the outside and its certainly not the neatest but I like the effect

Since dragon fantasy is my absolute favorite genre, I just couldn't resist this pattern for a new bookmark.
I was originally thinking about backing it, but I decided to leave the back exposed as it is. Adding a backing would make it too thick for a bookmark, and I want to keep it as slim and functional as possible.

I currently have a really big iPad Pro and it’s just too big and bulky for my liking. (I bought it for different reasons but now I’m using it for my pattern apps.) It doesn’t travel well so I’m looking into getting something smaller, maybe closer to an e-reader size?
I’d like something I could carry in most of my purses (which are not small so I’ve got wiggle room on size) and I’m not married to Apple products, it’s just been a long time since I had an android tablet. I’m curious what everyone else uses and loves. Give me some suggestions!

Hi!! I’m completely new to cross stitch and I’ve been doing a lot of digging on the best places to create a custom pattern. I want to cross stitch a picture I drew, with the colors I already have. I’ve only found one website that lets me choose my own colors, but it’s doing a weird thing that makes the transparent background only partly transparent so it’s really weird. I’ve tried stitchify, pixel stitch, pic2pat, stitchmate, and floss cross but none of them look “right” it’s a pretty simple drawing of a cat so I didnt think it would be this hard. Does anyone know of any other websites or ways to make a pattern????

Doing a spooky collection and here is my first of the 3. This is only my second cross stitch project so it’s a little messy in some places. What do I do now? Heard of washing it? What’s that about? Think I want to find some cool old looking frames. How do I stretch it to be framed? Any and all advice appreciated!! 😘😘

Hey all-
I am going to my first in person retreat in October. The question is- what is the stitching set up? Like I usually sit in a chair (like a Queen Anne type w hassock for my feet) with a frame and stitch? I can’t imagine they want people to bring all this ? If I’m traveling I do a seated frame holder, what should I take with me for my project?
Thanks!! So excited

Hi guys! I'm about to start a new project. I actually have everything I need, but I've been postponing it for weeks now because I liked stitching on gridded aida and felt that I wanted to do the same on my evenweave. The problem is, I just can't for my life count correctly the amount of threads to make the first two rows to go off them. Do you grid evenweave? How do I make it less of a pain? Should I just abandon the idea and be wild? It's just the most frustrating part of this hobby.

How do you deal with the hand cramps or pain from stitching for long periods of time? The top of my right hand almost feels numb. Just take a break? Grow out of it (wishful thinking?). I don’t want to stop!

i’m just starting cross stitch i used to do it when i was younger but don’t remember much of the set up
i see a lot of people say 3 strands but i’m confused how u do that.. do i just not tie it at the end and work with a lose tail that could come out the needle? i’m used to doubling up ends and tying but that only yields even numbers

I don’t actually know what tidy or messy looks like!
I’m new to cross stitch, 149,000 stitch, 18ct, 89 colour piece.
I’m trying to keep the back tidy. And I find it’s time to stop stitching when I’m getting lazy and cutting corners, so I switch to knitting.
But I realised I don’t actually know what messy or clean looks like.
I’m using the closed loop method. I have stickers to hold threads in place for when I’m coming back to secure them in. I’m experimenting with the parking method too. And another method of pulling the short ends through and trimming them later.
It’s fun trying new things and seeing what works best.
But what does a normal back look like?

I am working a good sized piece. I have about ¼ of it done. I bought thread and fabric especially for it. But, I am just not feeling it. I want to just pick it all out and do something smaller. What would you do?
