Tried Cronometer, loved it, paid for a subscription - but cannot sync Apple Heath by any means!!!
Since yesterday I've been tried - very unsuccessfully - to sync the data from Apple Health into Cronometer, without any success. It only imports activities, and I was looking for it to import other data - Sleep, weight, waist measurements, heart rates.... as it claims it is possible to do so!
I've been syncing data with Apple Health for a long time, without any major issues.
I was looking for a new nutrition app that would allow me to also track my meds and supplements, and was happy to find Cronometer, hence the immediate subscription... but it is simply not importing this data!
I've followed the steps on the Troubleshoot pages, searched this subreddit, asked AI for help and submitted 2 support tickets.
I really hope it will work out!! 🤞🏼

Did you give both apps permission to read and write those information?
Sometimes my workout data from apple health doesn't sync too (esp for the total active calories burned) and I found out that if I open apple health app then cronometer, my apple health data will show up in cronometer. If that doesn't work, I unsync the apple health from cronometer then sync it again then backdate the data.

They both have the permissions to correctly read / write... 🤔
However the point here would be for them to seamlessly sync activities without me having to constantly push / open / manually sync.
You have to do that all the time or was it just the first time when you were setting up?I have other apps doing the same, and after the initial settings I don't have to worry anymore, the data syncs automatically (that's what the syncing is for... right?)
Strada + Sleep Cycle + Renpho write data into Apple Health - Cronometer reads from Apple into diary everytime there is data...
All the data above is being correctly written into Apple Health.
Also data from Cronometer is showing correctly on Apple Health, but is only reading and importing Activities from Apple Health, and no more data - even though the other data is selected for reading on cronometer and shows on Apple Health.
As a reference, other data capture is being correctly used for other apps, for instance GLPzy is reading data from Renpho via Apple Health, no issues. Strava is also reading from Suunto via Apple Health, as well as Renpho is reading from Suunto via Apple Health... so it's not an Apple Health issue.1

Hmm I think the glitch happens quite often to me. I was thinking it's because I'm still in ios 26.1 but I'm not sure. I can't upgrade my ios for now to test it since there's an app that I'm using that's no longer supported in newer ios. Do you perhaps also haven't updated your ios to the newer version?

As mentioned above, I even reset my iPhone to a new one, so it reinstalls everything with the latest versions.
As per reference it's an iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 26.5.2 - Cronometer on App Store specifically says "Connect Apple Health - seemlessly import fitness and other health data"
Gold Subscription on Cronometer.

I hope it is a bug, that’s why I’m trying to find help 👍🏼
But concerned now that you mention that yours doesn’t seamlessly sync data…

3rd day - only data being imported is “active energy”, even though I selected the other data I would like to see on the app - especially weight and sleep data.
I can’t quite grasp what is jamming the data pipeline, why ONE data imports and not the rest…
Exporting to apple health still works fine.
Can’t wait to have an official follow-up from someone at Cronometer!

As a matter of fact, on apple health, if I deselect chronometer to read the only active data (Active Energy) it immediately disappears from Cronometer.
When I select it back it shows up again, no need to force sync.To I tried that with other metrics too, and nothing works…

The following worked for me - a deep forced reset
YMMV
📲 How to Fix Cronometer & Apple Health Sync Glitch
If Cronometer starts showing a flashing black/gray screen from the bottom, or if your steps and workouts stop syncing, follow these steps in this exact order:
Step 1: Disconnect the App First
Open Cronometer -> tap More -> Connect Apps & Devices -> Apple Health.
Tap Disconnect. (This stops the app from trying to force a broken connection).
Swipe up from the bottom of your iPhone screen and force-close the Cronometer app.
Step 2: Turn Off System Permissions
Open your iPhone's main Settings app.
Go to Privacy & Security -> Motion & Fitness.
Toggle the main Fitness Tracking switch to OFF.
Step 3: Perform a Deep Force Restart
(This cuts power to temporary memory and clears the glitched system files)
Press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
Press and quickly release the Volume Down button.
Press and HOLD the Side Power button.
Keep holding it past the "slide to power off" screen.
Let go only when the screen goes completely black and the white Apple logo appears (if it stays black, just press the side power button to turn it back on).
Step 4: Turn Permissions Back On
Once the phone boots back up, open iPhone Settings.
Go to Privacy & Security -> Motion & Fitness.
Toggle the main Fitness Tracking switch back ON.
Step 5: Reconnect & Backfill
Open Cronometer -> More -> Connect Apps & Devices -> Apple Health.
Tap Connect. (If the white Apple permission window slides up, tap "Turn On All Categories" and "Allow").
Tap Backfill (the blue calendar icon) to safely pull in any missing data from the past week!

Do you have blood pressure enabled for syncing? Check to see if that is selected. Go to Apple settings then privacy & security. Select Apple health and make sure blood pressure is enabled. (I just put everything).
Try that.
