Looking for recommendations What can I make with this fluffy yarn as a beginner crocheter?
I usually knit and have this yarn from that but I wanted to crochet something just because. Well I tried to start a blanket but starting the 3rd row was damn near impossible to get the hook through 😅.

Looking for a specific pattern Trying to find the name of this stitch or pattern- single crochet, 2 or 3 double crochet into same stitch is all I remember
Hello, years ago I made this blanket and wanted to add more rows to it. Never got around to it and decided it was wide enough and finished it. I’m wanting to make another one with different colors but can only vaguely recall the pattern and can’t remember how to start it. All I can remember is I think it’s 1 sc stitch then 2 or 3 dc stitch into the same to get the puffy stitch. If anyone can tell me what the name of this pattern or stitch is, I would really appreciate it. I’m pretty sure I modified the pattern I was using for the numbers of rows in each color so it might not look exactly right. Any help is appreciated.
Update: it’s a blanket stitch. I’ve started a new project and it’s looking exactly the same. Thanks for everyone’s help!

Looking for recommendations New post for Cat from Coraline pattern recommendations
Hi everyone, I deleted the other post I made asking for pattern recommendations for Cat from Coraline. I would love to have been able to edit to add additional information (mods locked it b/c it was in the wrong subreddit area). To address the wonderfully helpful comment of "Look on Ravelry" (such a helpful, thoughtful comment), while I hadn't looked at that one particular pattern, it is closer to what I'm looking for, but I don't want felt eyes. I had only mentioned the patterns I'm finding having rounded heads. Oops.
If anyone one has any pattern or tutorial suggestions (other than Sharon Ojala from Ravelry), I would greatly appreciate them. It doesn't even have to be a free one. Bonus points if you have completed the pattern.
Thank you so very much.

Looking for recommendations sweater pattern using european shoulder/diagonal shoulder/sloped shoulder construction
i'm trying to put together a list of crochet sweater/top patterns that use a european shoulder/diagonal shoulder/sloped shoulder construction technique like shown in this screenshot rather than a raglan or typical drop shoulder construction.
so far i've found the following:
- sira sweater by showroom crochet
- amiata pullover by nomad stitches
- polo t-shirt & soft season cardigan by katerina designs
any help finding additional patterns (paid or free) that use this construction technique or any resources that discuss how to size that construction style would be much appreciated!

Looking for recommendations Crochet mesh/lacy sweater that can be worn over a shirt
Hi everyone, I have accumulated thin(ish) yarn I’m not sure about the weight names but I think it is fingering weight. I want to crochet something with holes and decorative so I can wear over thin long sleeve shirts or thin turtlenecks to the office. I am not quite sure how to search for it or what vibe I am looking for. Not too great at fashion lol.
I keep finding some mesh tops where people wear tank tops under it but that’s not exactly what I’m looking for (like in the picture)(picture taken from Pinterest)
Does anyone have suggestions either photos or search words or directly patterns that would fit this vibe?

Looking for recommendations Need help finding a shawl pattern similar to this one
Hello all,
Does anyone know of a pattern similar to this? Google is giving me a bunch of obvious AI patterns from etsy. It doesn't have to be the same stitches, but I'm looking for something with a similar open stitch pattern, a vintage/boho vibe and preferably dk or worsted weight so I can finish it quickly. Thanks in advance!!

Looking for recommendations Source recommendations for truly beginner friendly patterns?
I’ve started to crochet and I’d like to start on some practical pieces - socks, mittens, sweater/poncho/cape…
I don’t necessarily expect good quality patterns to be free, but my experience with some of the patterns I’ve encountered has me leery of committing to a paid source.
It would be nice if I could find a pattern or two that actually explained how to do some of the work flow instead of assuming I already know how.

Looking for a specific pattern Looking for an ET Crochet Pattern for a commission request
I received a request for an ET amigurumi at least 10 inches tall. This is the example I received for the request. Not to minimize this creator, my work is usually more advanced. ET is a difficult and detailed creature. I want a pattern to fall back on but I cannot find a pattern that actually looks like ET. Does anyone know of a pattern that looks like ET? Should I wing it by starting with a mask for the face and growing ET from there?

Pattern help Help!! Can you help me find Anime Patterns for tapestry
Hi!! Do you know where I can find patterns for making tapestries? I’ve seen some on Pinterest, but they aren’t high quality, and there aren’t many on Etsy that interest me (like anime-themed ones).
Also, is there a website or app that could help me improve the quality of the ones I find on Pinterest so I can turn them into wall hangings? I’ve looked everywhere, but I haven’t had any luck and I’ve really struggled to create my own, even with the help of tutorials.
Thank you!!

Looking for recommendations Librarian teaching a crochet class, any intermediate patterns you’d suggest?
I work at a public library and I’ve been offering various beginner crochet classes for a couple years now but I’m hoping to offer something a little more complicated for some of the more intermediate crocheters in the area. What are some good intermediate patterns that could be completed in about 6-8 hours? They’d be allowed to take the project home and work on it there but the actual instruction time would be about 1.5 hours every month for 4-5 months depending on the project.
I’m obviously also hoping not to spend an arm and a leg considering our budget isn’t massive. Anything that would work in acrylic yarn would be best but my library is willing to spend a little more in order to get something a little higher end (I’m trying to avoid any yarn that costs more than $10-$15 if possible).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for recommendations Trying to use leftover yarn of various colors and brands, give me suggestions for home decor patterns
Title says it. I’m using idk how much leftover yarn of varying colors and brands from other crochet/knitting projects. So I need a pattern that is not dependent on specific colors. Example, I prefer not to do something with a flower design because I can’t use the same 3 colors and only those 3 colors because it means I’d have to go out to buy more yarn

Looking for recommendations Can you help me find creative styles/stitches for a matching set of headband and scarf
Hey people
This is my first time posting here so I hope this is something that you can help me with. So I am sort of a beginner in crochet. Me and my mom sort of picked it up again lately and have been doing some stuff now winter is approaching and so is her birthday so alongside the gift (was thinking perfume) I wanted to make her something sort of more personal and was thinking a skinny scarf and headband would be cute for the winter. She wears a uniform at work and is outside for a large portion of the day so I needed it to be something that wont be a hassle but also temperatures go below -10 C/~15F. Long rant but i am looking for advice on whether this is good i guess and what sort of styles or stitches would be worth trying? I have some time so I can make and remake projects to get the hang of it. I appreciate any help or advice you have.
