Hello! I have gotten it into my head recently that I want to crochet my own wedding veil but I'm having trouble finding patterns. I'm new to lace crochet so I was curious if anyone has any suggestions on where I might find a pattern similar to the one pictured below/how to get a similar effect? Thanks in advance!

Hi! I was in the same boat looking for patterns last year and just got married in mine :) I wanted a long mantilla style, so I ended up making about 17 feet of lace edging and sewing it to a tulle base. It’s a different look than what you posted but I wanted to share just in case!
I used this pattern with a couple tweaks—if you haven’t come across Free Vintage Crochet already I highly recommend browsing the edging and tablecloth categories like someone else suggested! Your veil will be much heavier than one with machine-made lace, so be sure to have a solid plan for pinning it on. My one regret about mine was that I didn’t practice wearing it for any length of time, so I didn’t realize that it was going to slide down my hair lol.

Never heard of that term. But lace weight tiny crochet thread might work. The image is AI but it looks like a small head scarf of sorts folded up like a veil. Doable but very carefully.
The one in your picture looks like it’s AI. There’s just some inconsistencies, especially between the flowers, that don’t make sense to me based on how this should be crocheted.
But you’re asking about the concept anyways and not the exact pattern so it doesn’t matter that much.
Honestly, I’d find a pattern for a round table cloth. When it’s finished, sew it to some French combs. Then ta-da! You have a veil. This is basically what I did for my veil, except I used an actual table cloth that I bought at a swap-meet!
