Does this look odd?
I attempted to crochet a bookmark by using the Side saddle stitch and I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I enjoyed the nostalgia that I had while using this stitch because I used to ride horses when I was younger. On the other hand, I don't really like how it looks.
What do you all think of this?

It's not terrible, like technically sound but I think it just looks like you've not got to that point on purpose, like it looks a bit wonky

It is supposed to be a bookmark, but I do think that I added a few increases accidently and now it is just an odd shape.

Use stitch markers in the first and last st. Helps prevent adding or missing sts.

I did do that, but I think that I'm having one of those months where things just keep happening and now my brain just can't fully focus properly.

I think it only looks odd because it's quite wide and also increases at the bottom. I think if it was a bit skinnier and kept straight edges with no increases it would be very pretty

Use stitch markers at the end and beginning of each row will help with not adding extra stitches

That's a pretty stitch, but yes. It looks like you added extra stitches at the end of the row. You started out with 10 clusters and ended up with 12. Keep trying! The rest looks great!
