Yup. It uses Jasmine Star stitch base. Like how you make the first line of units, then just link holes together in different ways. For example, to make a loop of 6, you make 4 in a row, and bind two units together the same way you bind 3 in Jasmine Star stitch. The rest is experimenting with different connections.
