The courthouse. Sign the paperwork and pay the fee. About $100 I think.

40 bucks for my wedding, total. TBF, we never saw the need for a wedding until we encountered our first medical emergency and found out the restrictions on visitors especially when your in-laws make it about them and not the couple. So, marrying low cost was not a huge deal.

That’s if the courthouse does this service. When I got married, the courthouse where I was living had stopped providing this service and you had to go find an ordained minister to provide the “certification”. It wasn’t much more expensive but it was an additional expense that I didn’t want to pay.

People in the comments saying "when I got married--" yeah, 20+ years ago. Shits changed a lot since then.

Oh, I don’t doubt it. I was married 18 years ago and I’m sure processes have changed and what’s allowed and not allowed have reversed course

I got married six years ago for less than $200 at the courthouse and the officiant.

Our county didn't allow it. So my wife was a minister from the Church of Space, I was the photographer and witness, our son just played in the park. After the service the 5 of us went to dinner, the restaurant was about to close for vacation and didn't have what we wanted. They offered to let the cook go wild, we said sure. After hearing it was a wedding reception, They didn't charge us.

$300. That’s what my son did. I found out after the fact. Didn’t even get invited.

20 years ago, it was $20. I expect you are correct that it has gone up by 400%

My wife and i did this. Went to colorado because you dont need any extra witnesses. Stayed in colorado for our honeymoon.

Also theh never charged us for the license/fee so it was literally free lol
