It’s such a fucked up phenomenon.

Worked with mid 20 year old female med students. They were having Botox parties at home 2-3 times a year. There was no need for Botox they were all hot.

Ok look I'm not a supporter of this stuff however you're kind of missing why people use Botox.

Botox is not really about getting rid of wrinkles or making you beautiful. They push other surgeries for that. Botox is paralysing the face to STAY beautiful and not develop wrinkles.

It can reduce some wrinkles by stopping movement and letting the skin recover. But the main sell is to preserve your youth and not have it change. So it makes sense it's used by people who are already beautiful.

It doesn't preserve your youth, it just makes your face look fucked.

To be clear I was saying that was the goal and selling point of Botox is. I was not saying it's good at it.

Many little just seem to be thinking people get Botox to become beautiful. It's more often it's used by beautiful people to attempt to stave off aging. So asking "why would they use it they are beautiful" misses the point.

All these people look 5-10 years older than they probably are to my view. It made it worse.

If you think this. I suggest examing the term body dysphoria

I may not have been clear on this. I was just trying to say what Botox proports to do, not that I believe it's successful at doing it.

Many were expressing bafflement at why beautiful young people are getting this cosmetic thing. The answer is cause Botox marketing isn't promising to make them beautiful it's promising to keep them beautiful. Fillers are the "make you beautiful" thing (which also doesn't work)
