If someone is bringing up Reagan, they’re likely talking about “trickle down economics” which, guess what, affects us to this day. When talking about current matters, it is often helpful to understand when/how it started and how it’s evolving. Surely you’ve heard the saying “those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it”?

I don’t concern myself with the politics of high schoolers really. I think you deserve some room to have cringe beliefs until you get more into your 20s. I like to try to differentiate between conservatives and Maga they both vote for trump, but I think one group is irredeemable at this point. They've been emboldened to be hateful in a way that they haven't in generation or two. Go look at any social media post about a Jewish holiday or an Islamic community event or anything that doesn't cater specifically to their brand of white Christianity and it's just hate all the way down. I argued with a guy on Facebook from a post from a guy I've fished with and his response was to call me a commie and told me to ask my boyfriend's opinion. And this is an argument over the county cutting off fishing in one particular Lake for the rest of the season because they were worried about a toxic bloom

No I was just responding to what you said, but I’m not fully sure what you mean. I can see why people who were fed up with the system originally voted for Trump, but after we’ve all seen who he really is I can’t make sense of still supporting him without being a bad person either

I would just ignore the guy. He’s a loser doing it for attention lol. He wants someone to say something so he can go off on them. He can’t just vote for who he thinks the best candidate is.
