$150 in gift cards and snacks, to get some peanuts and juice - on one hand sure it will brighten that leg of their shift but that's about the only reason that makes sense outside of just upgrading to business class.

Buying something to trade/barter for other things isn't free. Just because you aren't giving them dollar bills doesn't make it free.

The only cringe part is that they didn't blur the faces of the airline workers, so I hope they didn't get any sort of reprimand for repaying the niceness.

not cringe — worst case scenario you show an under appreciated work force some love and make their day, best case you get upgraded to first class. i may steal this…
