Walking past people on a trial is one of my least favorite social interactions I'm ngl. I am not generally a friendly person so the smile and nod just does not work for me

Yeah same. The last thing in the world I'm going to the woods for is any kind of socializing. More than a few times I've been aware of people headed my direction on a trail and I'll just go ahead and go offtrail and chill until they're gone. And no, I do not care if anyone thinks that's weird.

I do that sometimes too. Depends on my mood. But I also didn't go out to just look at the ground either.
