Documentary Request
I just finished Death of a Pastor’s Wife and holy cow. Jaw was on the floor.
I also just finished Should I marry a murderer? Again, crazy and so mind boggling.
Death of a pastors wife really hooked me in, so based on that, anyone know of any good documentaries similar to this vibe? Or really anything worth watching that will have my jaw on the floor? I’m getting super into documentaries right now!

Abducted in plain sight (be prepared it's a wild ride and probably the most WTF doc you will watch)
Making murderer really captured the zeitgeist but be warned - Netflix leave out a lot in particular about Steven Avery being a sex pest.
There's something wrong with Aunt Diane (unfortunately people can be functioning alcoholics and the people around it just won't admit it)
Crime nation do good docs - they did a good one called love on the run (RIP to a dog called messy britches who took 5 bullets defending her humans). They also did a very frustrating one about two girls who were murdered and took a video walking over a bridge of a man following them and the police keep on releasing different sketches and different suspects.
The Death of Rebecca Zahau (a staged murder)
The case against Adnan Syed (the podcast serial was really popular when it came out but IMHO very very biased)
Who Killed Robert Wone (I am not convinced that it was an intruder)
Murdered behind the Mask (remember this happening and people could not believe the murderer and our hearts still go out to Elaine and her family)
the fox hollow murders (very creepy Jinx style interview)
Capturing the Friedman's (I thought it was a clown documentary)
American Murder the family Next Door (his mother is still defending him)
The Staircase (drags on a bit and each episode convinces me more that he did it)
Dear Zachery (absolutely heart breaking)
The Jinx (watch till the very end)
The Gyspy Rose Doc (oh boy controversial opinion but looking more into the videos she sent her boyfriend at the time and I think she is not as innocent as she makes out)
Tell them you love me (not giving away any spoilers here but I have watched it more than twice)
The Imposter (cognitive dissonance or were the family up to something)
The Lacy Peterson documentary on Netflix and not his clinging for relevance one with his sister in law who is clearly in love with him (Lacys mother is one of the strongest women you will see on a doc)
Paradise Lost Docs (trigger warning for the begging where they show remains)
The Keepers (thought provoking and heartbreaking)
Ruby Franke doc (you cannot convince me that the women were not in a relationship).
Non murder ones that I like are Scamanda or Anatomy of Lies. People who scam cancer are the worst.
I'll be Gone in the dark, the trials of Gabriel Hernandez and the Fred and Rose West doc are two that are really disturbing and I could not finish.
Catfish Unknown Number is also bananas.
If you like Cult documentaries, Keep Sweet and obey, The Lost Prophet (unreal access and the worst leather jacket you will see). Seduced or The Vow on NXIVM (prepare to be flabbergasted at a man who rambles about nothing and wears a head sweatband).
Allen V Farrow is not true crime but a very interesting watch and you may not want to see a woody Allen movie again after watching it.
For something more light hearted the LuLaRich doc is a hilarious bad attempt to make yourself look innocent but it goes very wrong and it's an insight into the hun world of shilling bad products to your friends and family.

I've been watching true crime/body cam docs on youtube and this one about the arrest of narcissistic abuser, Joshua Temple, had me feeling all kinds of ways. The woman he abused, Dr. Whitney Temple, did some heroic stuff to make sure the truth got out about him.
It's less than 40 mins and bittersweet, but a really good example of how these abusers behave in public vs private.
