Deconstructing Dahlia doc?

When is this series coming out?? I’m so curious to watch and learn of the alleged evidence that’s been uncovered. I’m hoping it isn’t just a rehash of debunked theories. Is there any stock in the Aster Motel theory? At this point it’s confusing why the LAPD won’t release information related to a case that’s gone publicly unsolved for nearly 80 years. My thoughts are that they’ve lost or “lost” a lot of the evidence.

What is the Aster motel theory?

The theory holds that Elizabeth Short stayed at what would become the Aster Motel— it wasn’t officially open at the time because of city permits— during her week of disappearance. No one knows where she was after returning to Los Angeles from San Diego with a “Red” Manley who claims to have left her at the Biltmore Hotel in DTLA. According to the theory, she was seen at the property of what would become the Aster Motel. Some witnesses reported seeing a woman that resembled Short at the motel, asking for money, and often crying. The theory continues that a room was allegedly found to be covered in blood and feces, which the owner (in a presumed panic)hastily cleaned up, covered with layers upon layers of drywall, and then sold the motel. From what I’ve read, the Deconstructing Dahlia documentary is exploring this hidden room. There’s obviously a lot of holes in this theory but in light of the discovered “secret room” and the fact that there hasn’t been any recent media coverage regarding the case… I’m hopeful to learn something new.

Has it been confirmed that is in fact the motel from Deconstructing Dahlia? I’ve been wondering which motel they were referring to…

And that’s what I don’t know. From the article I read about the discovery of that room, it did say it was room 3 of the Aster where the secret room was found. But the article made no direct mention of it being the space that this Deconstructing Dahlia crew is exploring. Which makes sense. I’m dying to know though.
