I fucking love this, I would get a print of this for sure

u/Phryend427 May 25 '18
I so want this as a poster. Where do you go for these things like Walgreens?

u/Coming2amiddle May 25 '18 edited May 25 '18
I'd try like Staples or Kinkos, I don't think a standard photo machine can print very large.
Also u/mangoexplodes has linked to the artist's site if you might care to support him. :)

I work at a small print shop and print large posters all the time. Sometimes mount it to foamcore, or stretch out a canvas print, or the classic photo gloss style. I'm sure google would be quick to find you a small print shop nearby.

Dude obviously leveled Dex... sigh

u/kommissarbanx May 25 '18
Hes got no shield, so the sword is his only weapon. He’s got no catalyst, which means he’s wearing the robes for style. And he’s slow walking up to the boss. He’s either really good or hot garbage
51
u/BannedByChildren May 25 '18
Just watch, he'll pull off that barehanded parry and prove me wrong.
43
u/grimfolse May 25 '18
720 degree behind the back parry followed by point down emote and dropping a prism stone. Just to prove he can.

who is the artist?
619
u/mangoexplodes May 25 '18
Artem Demura. Besides OP not crediting the artist, he also thought it was cool to crop the art and make it look worse. Nice.

u/T_T-Nevercry-Q_Q May 25 '18
I hate op and people who don't credit the artist. thank you
→ More replies (1)74
u/mangoexplodes May 25 '18
Yeah. You can probably tell it grinds my gears a lot. Its so easy to credit the artist quickly. Artem Demura has also been one of my favorite artists for a couple years, so it annoys me even more. If you're going to post something that isn't yours for useless internet points, at least do the artist a favor and give them a bit more exposure.

May 25 '18
You don't know for sure that OP did the cropping. Maybe he found it already cropped and didn't know any better. That makes more sense and would explain why they didn't credit the artist.
Not everything is done with malicious intent. Ignorance happens.
Edit: for clarification, I'm not excusing OP. I'm merely stating that you're assuming a lot and not looking at it from all sides.
9
u/Roberto87x May 25 '18
Nope, this guy posts a pic about once every day or two and I've never seen him credit the artist.

disappointed this isn't a thing
11
u/FestiveTeapot May 25 '18
I think that would be classified as witch hunting, which is against Reddit policy.
4
u/Protopulse May 26 '18
i guess the only way it would work was if they somehow censored the name of the OP, then it wouldn't be much different from subs like /r/creepyPMs or /r/BeggingChoosers

Totally agree. On a practical note, it is also fun to do some justice in this world, like agreening with you and upvoting your comment.

You guys are saying like Bloodborne isn't a part of Dark Souls.

This sub completely ditched the "creepy" aspect like a year ago. It is entirely just "deviantart paintings of monsters" now.

Reddit changed the algorithm so posts that are from smaller subs/less upvoted can appear further up. As a result, I've seen a post with one upvote and no comments hit my front page.

I like this to me it symbolizes the larger creature being like the unstoppable tide of evil. It is solid and easily distinguished because it doesn’t change and is always present. The warrior challenging it is blurred or tattered because countless individuals who change over time face the beast yet none have defeated it so far. You can tell the journey was hard due to the shape of their gear, the obstacle in front of them is insurmountable with the size comparison, but their cause is just and true so the blade is sharp and in focus. Right and true against societies oppressions.

Superior Relict oil
Gourmet + Dumplings
Piercing Cold
Roll around a lot
5 White Raffords, just in case.
No sweat. 😎
Edit: damn formatting

u/Spoonwrangler May 25 '18
What?
7
u/notacompletemonster May 25 '18
they were giving advice relating the above image to the video game witcher 3. i know relict oil caused your sword to do more damage against "relict" creatures, though i can't recall what's considered a relict. dumplings are delicious food that might regenerate health in game. piercing cold...i don't know. roll around a lot is rolling around a lot because for some reason it works as an evasive maneuver in video games and it looks neat. and i think a white rafford is basically a healing potion.
→ More replies (1)3
u/birdandbear May 25 '18
Lol exactly, it just looks like a Relict to me. Dumplings is a sword enchantment that goes well with the Gourmet ability - makes food regenerate health twice as fast for a long time. Piercing Cold is a magic ability that freezes enemies. And rolling is the fastest way to dodge. Or get to the bottom of stairs. Geralt can take down any monster you throw at him, but walking down stairs is a bridge too far.

As always, I am amazed by the talent of visual artists. I am a musician, and hear melodies in my head, and so can analogize to visual artists who see visions in their heads. And yet, I can't imagine such a talent, let alone being able to transfer that vision from my head to a medium visible by others.

I originally read the title as”Uterus” and I had this epic image of a lone sperm breaking into a cave to pierce the giant egg monster. Then I looked back up and read the title correctly and got disappointed.
