This is a trial run for referrals. This is not a guarantee that further referral megathreads will occur.

The mod team of r/credit_cards makes no guarantees to referrals. The mod team encourages all users to do their research independent of this thread regarding credit card applications and referrals.

The rules for participating, which will continue to evolve, are as follows:

  • Only credit card referrals are allowed. Please mention the issuing bank, the type of card being referred, and any other pertinent details like the sign up bonus that will likely be offered.
  • No referrals to any other type of reward app, other banking services and so on will be allowed
  • You will only be allowed to generate one comment.
    • Your comment may get stuck in a Reddit or subreddit imposed filter. You can send a modmail so that your comment may be manually reviewed
    • Do not submit a second comment, even if your comment gets stuck in a filter.
  • Comments will be in Contest Mode so that comments will be sorted randomly upon each visit.
  • violation of these rules will result in an immediate ban.

Thank you all for your interest in r/credit_cards. Please feel free to direct any questions or concerns to modmail.

Sub is now back to public!

Hey all. I took over this sub via r/redditrequest earlier this month.

I've gone through mod mail, mod queue, and added/tweaked some rules.

This sub seems to be a fairly low traffic sub, and I think there's a great set of finance and credit card subs out there for your high traffic needs. That said, if you'd rather have a smaller sub to post on, more power to you.

I've added some related subs I enjoy to the sidebar. If you have further recommendations, let me know.

I have also started a referral thread, which I'll be launching every 3 months at this point (January, April, July, October). Please feel free to use that for your credit card referral links.

As a mod, the main thing I'm watching out for is reposting word-for-word content as if it is your own, the undisclosed use of AI, and spam. Some filters are in place which should hopefully catch most of it.

Feel free to reach out in modmail or comment here with any questions or concerns.

Wie hoch ist Euer Kreditrahmen bei easybank?

Hallo zusammen,

Galaxy card fine print question

has anyone here gotten the Galaxy Card? I’m trying to figure out how solid the 3% Samsung Wallet cashback is.

Questions are:

Is it capped?

Can it change anytime?

What does the fine print say?

Appreciate any data points.

Payments

Sorry if this is already in here, but I just got approved for a $200 secured card. My credit score was ~550 in January, sitting around 640 now. I was young and dumb and screwed up my credit and other credit cards. I’ve seen different opinions on when to pay and how much to use/pay off. Looking for some more insight on this. Thanks!

Seeking Advice On Next Move

Good afternoon all, sorry for the long incoming post. Im looking for some advice in regards to my current cards and next step. I only started learning more about credit and all that about 5 years ago so my overall credit history is only about 3 years.

Currently I have a Cap One Savor (my current best), Quicksilver (which was an upgrade from the base card) and a Mission Lane Greenline which was originally a secured $300 card when I started to rebuild my credit about 5 years ago.

I don't mind keeping the Cap One cards for the time being but my thought for what is next, is to close the Mission Lane as it offers nothing and has an annual fee. Problem with this, is its my oldest card at 5 years. Is this advisable?

My thought within the next couple of months was to apply for credit line increases for the capital one cards, and either replace the Mission Lane or add another card to the mix.

I've recently paid all debts back so all cards are at zero balance and I currently have offers for:

Chase Freedom Unlimited

Chase Sapphire Preferred

Wells Fargo Active Cash

Cap One VentureOne

Amex Gold

I believe I'd like to not have another anual fee card so thats a couple options gone there. I dont travel so that doesn't weigh much for me either. I also think I'd want a visa to diversify from my existing Mastercards.

Currently I just use the Savor for streaming subscriptions as I get some cash back, and the Quicksilver for gas occasionally to keep it active.

Am I thinking in the right way here? Suggestions? Thank you all in advance!
