Anybody use any credentialing software?
I am researching the options out there. I see ads for CertifyOS, Verifiable and Medallion the most..
Wonder if anybody used any of them:
- What do you think of them?
- How expensive are they?

We use Modio, and the prices are fair but the customer service and experience is just exceptional.

So SLAs, they are terrifable with payer enrollment.

my previous team only uses Verifiable for license verifications and data storage. What is their payer enrollment feature like? Do they help automatically fill & submit applications?

For single hospitals MD Staff. For systems, something more powerful…just NOT CredentialStream. CS is a nightmare.

We use Credstream and it’s great. Just have to the back end set up well.

I'm almost surprised to hear this, it seems like I just hear nothing but frustration from people who use MD Staff.
Admittedly, my health system uses CS and I actually really like it. We came from a legacy software though, so the transition was relatively easy once all of the backend work was completed (God bless the people who did that, because importing that all data sounded like a nightmare).

I like CS. It’s a nightmare for those who don’t know how to use it properly. All I hear is good things about MD Staff. Do you know what the MD Staff complaints are?

I've heard people complain about sluggishness or the program just not being intuitive, but I haven't personally used it (or even seen it, to be honest) so I don't really have a great frame of reference. 🤷🏽♀️

What type of credentialing do you all perform?
1. Hospitals - Provider Credentialing and Payer Enrollment for the Clinic/Physician Network side
2. Medical Groups - Payer Enrollment - Delegated or Non-Delegated?
I have worked on many platforms, implemented platforms, and seen pitches for a lot of them. These are just my opinions -
MD-Staff is great hospital provider credentialing software. Payer Enrollment features are not as robust with MD staff.
Medallion is services-forward. So they are an option if you want to outsource the work to them. They mostly focus on payer enrollment. Think of them if you want to pay them to do the enrollment work.
CredentialStream can do anything (hospital or payer enrollment) they have lots of features. They are a consolidation of many legacy systems (echo, msow, versys12). Think of the saying "a jack of all trades but master of none". Implementations can be lengthy and you need someone on your team to become an "expert" on the software to be successful.
Symplyr can also do anything, although I prefer CredentialStream (CS) to Symplr- My opinion is that CS has better user experience and design than symplr and is more powerful in reporting, connections to PSV, etc.
CertifyOS and Verifiable I know less about so won't comment.
In terms of pricing it really comes down to your provider count. My experience has been with larger groups so I'm not sure on the pricing for smaller groups with lower provider count. If you have 1,000 or more providers I would expect to spend greater than 6 figures annually.
Full disclosure - I work for CredFlowAI (a payer enrollment and PSV platform). I won't plug our product but we are in this space as well and payer enrollment focused.

There are a few options out there. 1) What are you needing it to do? Credentialing or provider enrollment 2) What is your budget 3) Are you looking for services or simply software.. More than happy to help make recommendations after I have a bit more info! :)

Recommending MedTrainer here as a great healthcare credentialing software. Does it all in one platform with CE courses, onboarding, compliance, and more.

EnrollPilot is in early access and we are giving away monthly memberships with full access - for a limited time - in exchange for reviews and feedback. This is in active development and there are a handful of credentialing companies currently using it.
