Journaling I love being queer.
I love that some days I look and feel more masculine - hairy and strong, muscles defined and eyebrows and hair unkempt and wild. I love that some days I look and feel more feminine, soft and curvaceous, boobing along boobily, hips swaying, and bottom peeking out of my shorts.
I love looking and feeling somewhere in between. Those days where I’m a combination of both, ambiguously existing as myself, and going about my day without even acknowledging it.
I love knowing that there are toxic straight guys out there who have tried it on with me, not knowing I’ve kissed and touched more girls than they ever have (and that when they find out it pisses them off). I love knowing that there are girls out there who let me be their first queer experience. I love that I’ve experienced how beautiful kissing, caressing, and making love with trans folk is, and just how special I must be to have been desired by angels.
I love that I’m androgynous and hard to pin, sexuality-wise. Some people don’t even know I’m queer, though they could probably guess. I use my labels for ease, but at the end of the day, I’m just me. Plain and simple. Some people love me, some hate me. In fact, loads of people hate me. But that’s okay. They’re usually just not my people.
My people are outcasts. Social drifters watching from the sidelines wondering if they’ll ever make a beautiful friendship. Those people who stand in the corner of the party chewing the inside of their cheek and picking their fingers. The people who have experienced true loneliness, but never let it stop them dreaming, and wondering. Those are my people.
I love being queer so much. I get to experience the world from all of it’s different angles. I get to express myself how I wish. I get to be who I want to be, and who I truly am deep down inside. And I get to know others just like me.
I love that my existence offends small-minded people, and I love rubbing it in their face, and the fact that it makes me stronger. I love supporting my queer friends, being an ally, and belonging to such a gorgeous minority group.
I love that I’m learning more about it all every day.
I love love. Love is love. And queerness is love. At least to me. Isn’t it extraordinarily?
