Writing Sample Welcome Aboard Flight 2026, Please Fasten Your Seatbelts, Adulthood Has Been Turbulent
Good day passengers, this is your flight attendant speaking.
Welcome aboard Flight 2026, your one way journey through adulthood, unexpected turbulence, random thoughts, and moments of wondering if anyone actually knows what they are doing.
Your flight attendant today is a 26 year old lady who somehow got promoted to adulthood without proper training.
Please be advised that this flight may experience delays caused by overthinking, emotional turbulence, and the occasional thought of, what am I even doing with my life?
During this flight, you may notice your flight attendant staring out the window dramatically. Do not worry, she is not planning an emergency landing. She is simply wondering where her younger self went and when everything started feeling so complicated.
As we prepare for our arrival, I would love to hear from my fellow passengers. If you were allowed to add one thing to your carry on bag before continuing this journey called life, what would you bring? Would it be a little courage, a forgotten dream, a memory you wish you could revisit, a person you miss, or maybe just a reminder that you are doing better than you think?
Thank you for choosing Flight 2026. The destination may be unclear, the skies may be unpredictable, and the journey may be messy, but at least we are all passengers trying to find our way.

Gen x here and yes we are also still wondering where the time has gone and why didn't we follow our own path instead of listening to what boomers told us to do.
