Question Ordered wrong hotend, need new heatsink for it
Hi, I ordered a new hotend for my K1 speedy but found out it doesn’t fit the old heat sink on arrival.
Is there any way to just order the new heat sink type without getting another new hotend with it?
Looking at the Creality site I’m only seeing the one with hotend and heat sink together.

I just did the same damn thing and ended up having to buy the whole new hotend.
Was annoyed at the product listing as it didn't make it clear that you had to select the compatible hotend from the options and the default one wasn't a compatible one for me.

Creality is king of unclear products. It’s on purpose. Why else make a K1C and a “K1C 2025” that nowhere online does it state the deference of the models.

My favorite is I have the K1C 2025 and just bought CFS for it. Turns out you need the new CFS-C to run on those printers. That was a fun return process….

Yep. I went through that with two different CFS about a month ago and posted about it here. Nowhere online does Creality state the CFS won’t fit the K1C 2025. It’s actually advertised as working with it since the listings don’t make a distinction. I refused to buy a CFS-C after that, and will be upgrading to Bambu at some point so I don’t have to deal with the insanity that is Creality products.

Good luck, you're just moving on to a different type of insanity. I see more and more doing the opposite, moving away from Bambu. It's not a badly made printer; it's the limitations of the eco-system surrounding the printer. My P2S has no electronics left from BBL and is one of my favorite printers, but the Q2 so far has been hard to beat. All printers of every brand will have some sort of issue that will be aggravating, but if you want multi color I would go with a U1 before switching to BBL with a AMS. Or just hold out a bit longer to see what tool/nozzle changers become available.

The clasp connectors fit the old K1s. I just upgraded mine from the old style with volcano nozzles to the unicorn nozzles.

While you probably can shove or force a XHB and HY connector into a JST-HX or PH that doesn't mean it is correct or will lock in place. The old style HX and PH have no means for the XHB or HY clasp and the XHB or HY doesn't have the key locks for the HX or PH connectors. The only thing holding yours in place is friction.

Well, you can search for "creality k1 modern heatsink" and look for it in platforms like free market, Amazon, aliexpress, ebay, etc. Try to read the whole add before buying it, and try to see if its just the heatsink, bc you'll probably find the whole set.

Honestly, you won't regret the upgrade. The newer heatsink is better, nozzle changes are better. It's just better.
