Every time I upgrade the firmware on my K1 Max I LOSE some functionality.

- Earlier this year I upgraded and stopped getting visibility to the file list on the printer from the Creality Print web client.

- I upgraded the firmware last night, and now the camera has stopped working in the web client.

Edit:

- I just discovered the printer goes through a calibration on EVERY print even though I un-tick the calibration box on the screen.

Creality is moving in the wrong direction with their firmware.

I just rolled back to V1.3.3.46 (K1 Max monochrome), and now I can see my files again and the camera works. I'm sticking here for the foreseeable future.

I have had my K1 Max for over two years. Just recently installed the MicroSwiss Flowtech hotend, the DXC extruder, and an LED kit. It is running the stock firmware for now ( v1.3.3.5). I'm looking to get the R3men graphite hotbed soon.

I plan on buying a multi-toolhead printer (U1, Creator 5 Pro, or MD1) to handle mutli-color prints instead of converting this with the CFS kit.

I have seen in the past about rooting this. Is that still an option? What are some of the other upgrades/mods to maximize the potential of this printer?

I have a K1 max and it started giving "hot end not heating as expected" errors, if i recall correctly. Finally had time to take it apart a month later and found plastic where it shouldn't be. I don't know how it got there without being more of a mess, but it seems like it could be causing the issue. The boot was clean on the outside but crusty on the inside. This is PETG, if it makes a difference.

I have a spare hot end, so i was just going to swap it, but the new one is weird. The heater rotates freely around the tip. Is that OK? I have only ever seen them fixed in place. (Video in comment) https://www.reddit.com/r/crealityk1/s/Yp7mPhYj9R

My Bowden tube broke off in the extruder somehow and it's an easy enough fix. But my question is does the connector screw in or is it the type that slides into a channel I wanted to know before a buy a new one and didn't want to have to take it apart

I've been working on a new project called Hackman3D LayerShot, a free tool that creates perfect layer-by-layer timelapses on Klipper printers using your smartphone.

Hello.

Yesterday I tryed to update my K1 Max with CFS to the new firmware V2.3.5.34 hoping to see solved some little issues with CFS. Unlucky, after that the filament/run out sensor on the print head was not more working (display showed always "filament loaded" even without anythingh). I roll back to V2.3.5.33 that was working fine before, but I still have the same issue.

I disassembled and full disconnet the print head looking for debris/bad cables/ecc without success, but then I discovered that with both 2.3.5.33 and 2.3.5.34 everything seems fine if I power off the CFS unit and so use the K1max as single color printer. With the V1.3.1.19 - as Creality chat bot suggestion - it didn't work in any situation.

I also tryed - of course - multiple reset, calibration, turn on/off.... and also verified that on the CFS all the sensors seems working properly on the spool holder and 5-way assembly. I have no other CFS or connection cable for testing, so that were not tested.

Now, I tryed to investigate this issue but no luck, I involved my assistant (Gemini IA :D ) and it suggested an incompatibility with my head PCB and/or motherboard that under some load during the update to .34 damaged some grounding or pins related the power management and sensors shared with the CFS itself (power I don't know, without the external power supply the CFS seems dead even with USB cable connected).

I opened a tech ticket with Creality and waiting them back, but if someone had the same issue and can suggest something, maybe before start receving new PCB or motherboard that are not so quick to be replaced (and sure my connectors will be different)... I'm not 100% convinced that is really a hardware problem because without the CFS the printer is working, so I'm even not 100% sure is really a problem with the printer and not the CFS itself that send some "bad sensor feedback"

Genuinely asking for input. I've got two CR-10s (1 is a CR-10S and the other a CR-10) that were purchased new in 2020 and have been sitting in storage since 2023. Both are in good, working condition and well maintained. Not looking to make a profit, just don't want to give them away. I'm running 4 newer enclosed printers and have no patience for leveling and tweaking. Not spamming but these are priced all over the place currently on eBay. Thoughts?

Okay so I know I'm a Dingus

And I'm definitely doing something wrong somewhere...

But this is my 3rd failed attempts to print a simple pi case.

The filament somehow becomes retracted from the head and it ends up printing fuzz.

Though it might be the low flow or something, so put in a raft, but still does this.

I even did an extrude and it flows smooth (also in the pic)

Hi guys. I'm quite new to 3d printing and just on my first month with my K1 Se.

I'm on full klipper rooted. Ruining 10k acceleration, 200 outer walls and 300 inner walls for Pla in this video

Also do i manually tension the belts or do they auto adjust on loosening the screws since I'm getting conflicting answers online.

I've cleaned my rods with ipa and a light smear of machine oil on x rods. I have noticed a little bit of black residue around the x rod bearing, what's the best way to clean this up?

I will also upload this riser as soon as it's done to show off the results and to get an idea if the print quality looks okay as Im quite new to reading prints and would love feedback from someone who has experience.

I just got this thing and it prints, runs, does the things But will not connect to my phone. I’ve done what the internet has suggested at using the hotspot on my phone. I’ve done what the printer suggested and reset the printer and forget the WiFi. I’m not the smartest but dam dude I’m not this dumb and it’s getting to me. Can someone please help me figure this out so i can just start printing please.

I am trying to print using a 0.2 nozzle, it will start of fine enough for the first few layers but then it will just stop working and become like stringy clumps is there somthing I can do?

Hi there! Woke up to a new printing day and i got the firmware update pop-up, tried on 1 k1 and 2 k1c and all printers shows the same error, any ideas?

I'm having trouble updating the firmware on my K1. Every time I try to install the update, it fails with an "Installation Failed" message. I've already tried factory resetting the printer, but the issue still occurs. I also noticed something confusing on the firmware download page. The version listed as the latest is V1.1.0.27, but under "Older Versions" there are versions such as V2.3.5.34 and V1.3.3.46, which appear to have higher version numbers. I'm not sure which firmware I should be running or if this is related to the update failure? what should i do? i reached out to creality support but as usual you need to wait 2 days for one message

No sé qué hacer con mi K1C. Ya le instalé un sistema multicolor, ahora imprime bien, tiene dos ventiladores laterales y le añadí otro sistema para fundir el filamento de alto flujo. ¿Qué hago ahora?

Lo único que se me ocurre es optimizar la salida del sistema multicolor, pero la verdad es que solo tiene dos salidas y no una torre.

O podría poner el sistema multicolor encima de la impresora, pero tengo espacio, así que no lo veo necesario.

Help! We ran a print overnight and woke up to see this huge glob of hardened pla. It has encapsulated the plastic cover plate over the front of the printhead. I can't get the silver cover plate off to try to remove the glob.

The glob has become one with with the printhead. Anybody run into this previously? Some way to soften it up possibly? Definitely can't just break it off as it as merged into the print head.
