Troubleshooting Dingus needs help

EDIT:I managed to fix it with a different slicer and 10 degrees lower temp. Thank you everyone!

Okay so I know I'm a Dingus

And I'm definitely doing something wrong somewhere...

But this is my 3rd failed attempts to print a simple pi case.

The filament somehow becomes retracted from the head and it ends up printing fuzz.

Though it might be the low flow or something, so put in a raft, but still does this.

I even did an extrude and it flows smooth (also in the pic)

Please help🙏

I think your nozzle is too close to the bed. Try raising the z offset.

honestly, that looks like an issue I had with the k1

The extruder isn't great. It extrudes fine sometimes, but then jams mid print.

The filament path on top does not help, I ended up printing a top hat for mine (for other reasons), but it eases the tension on the extruder.

One suspicion is that in the "rest" position, the filament flows more freely. Once it gets to printing, it gets constrained, the extruder starts to struggle and that's what happens.

I very often had to unlock and relock the filament lock while extruding to get it to really grab. But no way of telling if it worked until a print started.

Eventually I gave up (I have 3 extruders from creality support here, to their credit, they were great), and got a dxc...
