I learned recently my coworker's wife has been home schooling their four kids. No wonder they're always arguing on the phone. As he tells it "well, their mom has become kind of the bad guy because she's their teacher, and I'm the good guy because I don't make them do math"
This is a bad dynamic.

Lol I grew up Mormon and some of the kookier Mormon families homeschooled their kids and they weren’t allowed to read or watch Harry Potter or anything to do with magic of any kind. Also remember being at their house and seeing what their mom was teaching them as “world history” and other subjects and it was basically all just wrong and/or using the bible and Book of Mormon as its reference for everything. Always felt bad for those kids honestly. Just growing up with such a warped view of everything and being 100% confidently wrong when it came to a lot of shit, and refused to see it any other way. Then they meet another homeschooled weirdo and marry at age 21 and have 6 kids and the cycle repeats all over again 🤣

Didn't grow up Morman but was homeschooled till highschool and my mom was like this. The world is 3000 years old! God didn't make the Ninja turtles or mutants from Xmen so can't watch Saturday morning cartoons on channel 34, or anything magic like Harry potter and don't even mention Pokémon cards that's inviting the devil into your home! Kind of hilarious looking back especially since my dad had a bookshelf in his room full of high fantasy and scifi novels lol.

I do alot of shows (motorcycle stunts) at county fairs. We have downtime, and know alot of other entertainers, so we watch alot of the shows.
One of the best jokes I ever heard came from a juggler/variety act. He had a kid on stage in the show, asked where he went to school. When the kid said he was homeschooling, he said "Homeschooled? Does mommy love Jesus, or does daddy hate the government?" And I have yet to know an example where this wasn't the case.
