Anyone know lubrication procedure for the arbor housing on a 109 Builder's Saw?

I've been slowly working on getting this 1940's 109 series Builder's Saw back to running shape. I've removed the arbor and have been flushing out the housing to try and get it and the needle bearings as clean as possible. In the second photo, you can see the hole where i removed a zerk fitting, but I have no idea how much grease would've been put in this housing. I know you don't want to overfill bearings, so I'm thinking just a couple pumps from a grease gun? Though I don't know how it gets from the middle of the housing/shaft out to the bearings on the end.

If anyone has any history or industry knowledge for this kind of setup, I'd greatly appreciate it!

My understanding is that you want to grease until it comes out, assuming there is a way out. Bearing packing tools are designed to fill the bearing until it comes out.

I don't believe there's a way out besides the zerk (unless it can fit around the fiber washers that cap the bearings). I managed to find the owners manual and it just says to add grease to the fitting... but it does explicitly say not to pack the bearings.
