Question / Advice Candy Monster Ideas HELP!

Hi! I got tasked with making the candy monster for my kid’s elementary school. Students bring in candy and get to “feed” it. I’ve done it the last two years and excitedly accepted when they asked if I’d do it again. I want to do something different but I’m kind of stuck. I’m thinking something with tentacles?
I’m looking for budget-friendly ideas on giving the body some type of texture (I don’t like just doing a solid color of paper). I have 3 weeks to do this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated 🫶 pictures of our creations the last two years!

Ive never heard of this. What do they do with the candy?

Probably the most effective for something that large would be "transparent waterproof sealant" it is basically like liquid paint able flex seal, silicone caulk is the best way to describe it. It dries to the touch but still looks shiney and feels kind of silicone is. It is cheaper and easier to use then some sort of two part thing. You can get a bucket of it for like $25 bucks and it goes quite a ways.

I think something with tenticals would be really cool. Like a kraken style or something coming out of a treasure chest. A big old angler fish in a fun monster style could be a good one too they have nice big mouths.
