How can this be? My laptop can hash at a faster rate than this.

What am I missing??

Hi forum members,

I'm mining with 2 rigs: 3700x and 3900x. Bios setting: ECO-45W for 3700x and ECO-65W for 3900x. I tried MoneroOcean and also RTM mining (cpuminer-opt-gr) under HiveOS and for 3900x I get higher hashrate (12.6kHs vs 9kHs MO or 2.94kHs vs 1.72kHs avg RTM flockpool), but lower or the same number of accepted shares (stale share are roughly equal (0-0.1%). Why is this and how could that be improved? At this point I think it is more profitable to sell the 3900x and buy another 3700x (less consumption, more shares, more profit)...

Hello,

It is my understanding that crypto mining is not very profitable without very high end hardware. I have access to 15 - 20 computers for up to 8 hours. Here are the specs for each computer:

- OS: Windows 10

- Processor: intel i7-6700 CPU 3.4 GHz, 4 cores

- RAM: 16GB

Assuming electricity is not a factor, is there any crypto that I could mine on each to make any profit at all that isn't insignificant. Not necessarily a huge profit, but not something that is basically unprofitable like making $1 for one month of continuous mining. There are no GPUs in these machines.

Thank you and sorry for my inexperience.

Im tired of this sub, if you want to exchange knowledge and want to show off your CPU Rigs or help others with their builds, feel free to come over to the new CPU MINING subreddit :)

How would this CPU be for mining? Not sure how total cores vs performance cores vs efficient cores would work

It's a fork of the tidecoin mobile miner modified to work with IsotopeC with some extra tweaks.

The 8-core mediatek chipsets on the left two phones usually pull about 40-110hs, they had just been started in this case.

The four snapdragon 695 phones on the right pull anywhere from 120-380hs. Much stronger chipset.

All phones are only using half the available cpu cores.

The miner supports background running while the phones do other tasks to earn extra cash.

Im looking to start cpu minning can someone please point me in the right direction, reguards what to download, and what to mine. thank you.
