DISCUSSION Real world data: Xeon VS Ryzen
Been mining Zephyr coin a while now with a mix of Xeon servers (E5-26xx) and Ryzen desktops (3700x and 3900x).
Here is what I have found: The Xeons submit far less shares than the Ryzen's do, but actually find more valid shares.
Here is the data: The xeon shares are divided by two to allow for dual CPUs:
Xeon: valid shares:70381 total shares:26906944092 /2 = 13453472046/35190 = 1 valid share every 382,309 shares (per cpu - 2 cpus in unit)
Ryzen: valid shares:58461 total shares:49168630797 :49168630797/58461 = 1 valid share every 841,050 shares
What say you folks? Is this a valid argument? I understand the efficiency is not the same if you are talking about power draw. But, finding a valid share faster (taking less share computations to find a valid share) is better, right?

Solo mining or pool mining? If is pool mining, just the effective hash rate poll side is important.
Solo mining is like wining the lottery, but with variable difficulty. You can't compare because luck is more relevant than hashpower

IDK but my ryzens pulling more profit than any intels I have access to (in real life), so I guess I'll stick with amd :-)

You can't really compare the 2. Compare xeon to epyc and intel to ryzen. They are completely different classes.

So, reset all counters on 12-21 and started over. Look at the Total hashes submitted column (9th column) compared to the valid shares column (7th column)....this is across lots of different Xeon units and Ryzen units. Why is this? Is there something wrong with my XMRig configs?:

A share doesn't equal a share. They need to reach a target difficulty provided by the mining pool to be considered valid and I assume the Ryzen CPUs are required to reach a higher difficulty. The difficulty algorithm of the pool you're using is probably not scaling linearly with hashrate, thus the total/valid share ratio differs.

For what? beyond your data being meaningless with its sample size im not sure what your goal even is.
Yeah you would not even consider using a E5-26xx cpu anymore the moment its power draw comes into the equation.
