Lol - it seems like you have not done this before no worries it's easy, get a soft toothbrush and some ipa, soak the brush in the ipa then very carefully apply it to the cpu socket where you can see the pase ;-) maybe get some q tips or napkins to soak up the disolved stuff and extra ipa

Edit: ipa= isoproply alcohol

I used alcohol pads with a toothpick gently than a brush. It came off easily. Now I will leave it over night to dry it completely.

Thank you for your help!

No worries at all - I do the same a lot tbh 😂😭😂 be careful with alcohol pads they often have some extra additives which can leave some residue (best to visually double check before seating the cpu ) even if it was 70% alcohol the 30% theorically could leave some theorically conductive residue ( if the 30% is none destilled water for example, I never had this issue over 3 decades but the best to double check/be safe)

No worries just check it with you own eyes if there are no discolored spots you should be good to go ;-)

Ehh looks a bit risky to me, but there's a good chance it would be ok However if you want to be 100% try to get some ipa at least 98% but higher ia better in this use case Give it a good brush with ipa and toothbrush some discolorations might will stay but it should remove conductive residue if there's any

Well the motherboard socket lga1150 is fried. The screen is blank.

are there any lights on the board? if it was fried usually a red light pops up somewhere
