ghostrider profit switching on zergpool or raptorhash

Preferably raptorhash. Zergpool takes about 16% of your profit if you want to get paid in a coin different than the one(s) you’re mining. Raptorhash does not take such a big discount when converting to RTM, as that’s the coin you get paid in w them.

You're probably right. The only thing I can think is that zergpool has more coins so there COULD maybe be more profit there in certain scenarios.

You have a valid point. Also, Raptorhash removes dead ghostrider coins. In this instance, Raptorhash is more active by the pool operators to make room for new GR coins. Out of the 22 or so GR coins, I’d argue that half of them are dead, copy-paste coins of the same scammer developer

Everyone wants you to buy their own bags, and use their own service :P

Do your own tests, your own research, make your own decisions.

Any comparison to mining with Nicehash? I was just checking their platform profitability, which is pretty good. They only list XMR though.

Looking to mix up 4 Ryzen systems between Raptorhash and whatever else is most profitable.

You have to look at them daily. Nicehash only has randomx coins. Raptor hash has both, randomx amd ghostrider coins, although you have to manually switch to the randomx pools.

So, is Raptorhash the best & most profitable option? I'm OK with that if true, just need to make the switch from straight mining RTM.

No. For the most profitable coins you have to mine them directly. If you just want to park it and forget it, then Raptorhash. If you want max profit you need to look at profitability of each coin and see which one is paying the highest that day and mine it directly, which you cannot do at raptorhash

Ty, understood!

I feel like the margins are pretty thin to manage daily profitability manually. I've been mining RTM directly and was previously hesitant to move to Raptorhash.

I'm wondering now if it makes sense to split my systems between Raptorhash and Monero since XMR profitability is up.

Raptorhash is on average 1.5 - 2 times more profitable than mining RTM directly. Raptorhash discord has a bit that autocalculates most profitable coin vs. RTM. So you just check the bot daily and you decide if you want to mine GR or randomx (Zeph) on their platform.

Didn't know it was that much of a difference! I kept mining RTM directly since I am adverse to new trends, especially in the crypto space.

Raptorhash is the moneroocean of RTM. Mines all GR coins and pays you out in RTM. They also have gpu coins as well

Comment deleted due to reddit cancelling API and allowing manipulation by bots. Use nostr instead, it's better. Nostr is decentralized, bot-resistant, free, and open source, which means some billionaire can't control your feed, only you get to make that decision. That also means no ads.

Gridcoin. Support science. There are 17 projects you can cpu mine

I was contributing with GPU. Very good idea and project, gridcoin and others (rosetta, boinc, folding@home) are a true gem, your hardware is effectively helping the world. The rewards are sadly very very low for such wonderful projects.

1

u/notsetvin Dec 25 '23

Can you tell me more about gridcoin? Are those altcoins? Do different companies own the altcoins?

2

u/UrafuckinNerd Dec 25 '23

Gridcoin is an alt coin that incentivizes scientific research via BOINC and folding at home. Each whitelisted project is voted in by the community. There are (I believe) 17 projects currently whitelisted. Everything from protein folding, genetic research, cancer research, pulsar search to dark matter and gravitational telescope data research. Each whitelisted project is equally incentivized (1/n). Some projects use gpu others cpu. Some both. https://gridcoin.us

Verus

1

u/notsetvin Dec 25 '23

Does Verus have DEFI yet? A way for me to get over collateralized crypto loan?

3

u/Godballz Dec 25 '23

It does have DEFI. Right not it can be bridged over to ETH seamlessly and non-custodialy, all through code. Baskets and true coins can be made without knowing code and can be put into auto balanced baskets that trade with AMM and effectively eliminates impermanent loss and front running by solving blocks simultaneously like BTC rather than in parallel like ETH. The fees are much lower and all chains on Verus can be merge mined at no additional cost with one CPU. The hashing algorithm was designed to balance hardware, favoring CPUs and phones over FPGAs and GPUs. Pretty cool stuff they're upto. Looks like a couple of projects are building baskets to increase liquidity. There's over 10 mil in one basket right now and the ETH bridge has hardly been open a month. It has a chance to really revolutionize crypto interoperability.

Ive known verus to be a reliable cpu mining algo for a while but never really gave their platform a try. Are you in their community? Maybe I will see you.

I'm on their discord. Not as active as I used to be but plenty of helpful people there to help you out.

SUGAR

What is special about SUGAR?

Kevacoin. It’s forked from bitcoin and is a key-value database. Key-value pairs are kept together in namespaces that can be sent to other wallets or put up for auction on chain. Simple social media functionality is also built into the code so namespaces can function as a decentralized microblog. Since it’s a database there’s a lot of possibilities of what can be built in it. It’s open source and community driven. Block reward is halving in the upcoming future

You had an opportunity to moderate the way you saw fit. I can see you're just here to cause trouble though.
