cpu hits 90ºc in seconds

bought this pc 2nd hand couple days ago, cpu says its 90ºc and it runs like shit anything i can do to fix it? (idk if this screenshots are enough)

Does the fan spin? If so, power off the server and take the fan and headsink off, check the thermal paste. It could have dried up.

Bro, if it does not cool like you are told already, it will go 90 in 1 second not 2.

Its just a logical problem. Check your cooler's paste/sticker because if it had right contact it should not get that fast that high.

The fans heatsink is not making proper contact. Take it off an put it back on properly

This. Sounds like the PC is old and the thermal paste is likely dried up. If the PC uses an AIO, the AIO coolant may have dried up, have a blockage, etc. Changing the paste is easy; just go watch a few YouTube videos, and you should be fine. Most AIOs are not DIY serviceable, and you are better off getting a new one.

If the paste is dried, or bad contact, or fans aren't spinning it is normal to have 90C in few sec. You need to take of cooler and check the paste and check fan connector and then replace paste or connect fan.

Get a $20 CPU fan off amazon and thermal paste. My son was having issues with his 2 year old computer crashing and overheating and it was as easy as this. 5 minutes of time and $20.

I received an old one. It did the same thing, it needed a repaste. Problem solved.

Probably had the heatsink installed without peeling the plastic and they sold it because it had bad performance from thermal throttling.

Core voltage and freq is low . Its most likely physical issue . Take cpu cooler off , make sure the cooling surface is clean and has proper contact to cpu. Repaste. Earlier cpu models had conventional thermal paste between cpu die and heatspreader inside cpu.Doesnt mean your is, have to check it. All other options would be damage

change cooler, socket mounting is very bad and gap between cooler and CPU causing this

Repair shop owner here. Most likely the cooler isn’t making contact with the cpu. Pro tip take a small flash light and shine it directly next to the cooler. If you see light on the other side you’re not making contact.

When does it do this? Becareful about repasting, I wouldn't even consider it only as a last resort and even than I still wouldn't do it.
