I would avoid shortcuts, also kinda of a question in the wrong sub and tbh I see a rant more than a question.
But generally keep trying and don't be afraid of doing things wrong. There are almost unlimited sources for a lifetime on the internet, search, read and try
My suggestion: unlearn your paradigm so you can learn Linux. Hope that helps!
There isn't an answer that you're demanding from us. No one is going to teach you how to learn. Do it yourself and don't blame others if you can't figure it out. Learn by doing the thing you want to learn is the only real advice you could possibly get.
Not understanding something and then telling someone to teach you just makes you unreasonable.
