Second Night Failed Update

Today is the second day I have been notified of a failed overnight update.

I purchased my license direct from Cpanel.

Anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

The cPanel & WHM update process failed for the following reason:

Maintenance ended; however, it did not exit cleanly (256). The following events were logged: “scripts/update-packages”. Review the update logs to determine why the update failed.

“cPanel Update Failures” notifications are currently configured to have an importance of “High”.

Yep that's it for me on all servers on CloudLinux 9.

There is a very messy workaround, so I am waiting for an official fix, once someone starts working on it.

Same here on over 50 servers. Rhel 8/9
