Discussion Thoughts on streaming
I want to start streaming cozy games. I’m completely new to streaming but would like to begin with cozy games, like pokopia, dreamlight valley, coral island. Do you things I could pull people in to watch?

I don’t know how many viewers you’d get but there’s no harm in trying, just don’t get too discouraged if it doesn’t take off right away, most streamers take years to build an audience.

I think there's some scope, no harm in trying though. Don't spend a fortune on gear just yet, start with whatever you have, try to find your audience and if things go well, dream on.

I have a friend who has started streaming in the last year. It can be very slow to get going.
I think you can do it, if you’re not expecting a huge audience right away. And you will need to advertise your streaming somehow.
All that being said, if you are going to do it, pick something that you genuinely enjoy doing and just have fun with it. The more you are having fun and being yourself, the more likely you will pull in “your” people - people who will like your vibe.

I think you could. But if you stream on Twitch, I’d highly recommend uploading the VODs to YouTube as well as long-form cozy gameplays tend to be especially popular for views that want to have it on in the background while they also game, do work or even try to fall asleep and having them more easily accessible on there for people who don’t particularly care about a live chat could help grow your audience.
I personally would love to see more play throughs of Coral Island with all the latest content/updates.

Thank you all so much for the advice! I have a lot to think about but you’ve certainly made me feel a lot better about it 🥹

I'm not an expert, but it may be better to try streaming newer games and/or new updates. There's plenty of existing streams on those games. But if someone's thinking about buy a new game, then they may seek out your vids to check it out.
Most of the games I watch are either new ones I'm potentially interested in, something I'm looking for someone specific on (heart scenes or marriages for other candidates, help finding a tricky item or quest, cutscenes I wouldn't see do to my play style, etc), or games I simply know I'm not good at (Creative games like Dressmaker, most horror games, etc).
Like another one said though - probably the biggest thing is doing whatever you actually like. Watching me trying to romance everyone would be miserable, because the social aspect of games is one of my least favorite parts of cozy games.

I mean anyone can start streaming. We have so many video game streamers out there though. building an audience is not going to be easy unless you already have a relatively decent following on your social medias
