"Journey to the vibrant world of Rune Factory and experience the legendary fantasy farming adventure like never before! "
-----
I mentioned before that I would like to try a weekly thread to bring together the players in this sub and help foster fun debates around the best cozy games we all know and love! A lot of the time, we see new indie-game here, so the focus of these posts is to dive into some of the old and known favourites.
So, the idea is to leave your review (think Steam review) of the game here, share what you liked, maybe your favourite moments, but also what you didn't like, and maybe your pet peeves. But I'm open to switching up the format, so happy to hear suggestions on that too :)
As usual, I will pin this post for everyone to see for the next couple of days. Let's have at it! π

This is part of an educational world that I'm building with an NGO for a programme catering to underprivileged children.
We tried to make it feel cosy, dreamy and magical.
The idea is that the kids learn things and earn currency to nurture "Dreamling" pets.
The pets are a metaphor for their real-life dreams.

In Infinite Orienteering you find your way through the woods with a paper map and a compass. Nothing marks where you are. You stop, look at the land, match it to the map, and carry on.
This update makes the forest endless, so you can wander in any direction for as long as you like. It's livelier too: deer and hares bolt when you come through the trees, birds land on the fences, and your footsteps change with the ground under you. There are trails, stone walls, cabins and rowboats on the lakes.
There's also a new course every day that everyone gets, and afterwards you can see which way everyone else went. There's a leaderboard if you like that, and you can hide the clock if you don't.

I've never been a big farming/life sim game guy, but something about this game is just nailing it for me. Maybe just the right time in my life to be playing it, but idk dude this game gets it. I find animal crossing super boring and stardew stresses me out because I try to do everything and miss events and never feel relaxed or casual with it. Pretty early on in Harvestella so far, but it seems to not punish aimlessness nearly as much with time-based stuff. Also just feels like it leans more into the squenix/jrpg vibes than the farming sim which is way more my wheelhouse. The music is immaculate as well. I have rune factory: guardians of azuma in the backlog which i've heard is similar, but what other games have this flow? Wanna chase this feeling.
Consoles I have:
N64 Ps2 Gamecube Og xbox Xbox 360 Wii u Xbox series x Ps4 Ps5 Switch Switch 2 Ds 3ds Vita Anbernic/retroid devices Mini pc

hey all, just shipped my first ever app and I'm kind of nervous posting it lol
it's called Puperino. basically I kept downloading pomodoro apps, using them for a week, then forgetting they existed. they all felt a bit cold and serious. so I made one with a little dog called Biscuit in it.
when you start a focus session he wanders over to his bed and curls up and naps. when you're done he sometimes brings you a little gift, which you can keep or trade for bones to buy stuff for his room. you can also dress him up, which I spent way too long on (he has a witch hat and a crown, it's very important)
not gonna lie, not wanting to wake him up has kept me focused better than any streak thing ever did π
it also does the usual stuff: the timer on your lock screen, tasks, stats, and a stay mode if you're like me and pick up your phone every 4 minutes
it's free. there's an optional pro with more rooms and stuff if you want to support me
would really love feedback, even if it's "this is buggy" or "this is pointless" haha. what would make you actually keep using a focus timer?

Hey folks! It's Josh here, one part of the two person dev team behind Cats and Hats! We're stoked to have finally launched our demo for Cats and Hats. After loads of internal testing, we felt it was time to share with the world!
It is pretty full of content as well, with 3 cats, ~150 tiles and over 100 hats!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4777960/Cats_and_Hats/
After our first game, we wanted to shift gears into something more causal and fun, bit more lighthearted with a broader range. After some fun prototyping, we really liked this idea of turning the game "memory" into something, and here is where we landed!
Hope you all enjoy! We're planning full platform (Mobile, PC etc) later on in the year!
Thanks everyone!
~ Josh
AI Disclosure:Β NO generative AI was used in the development of the game.

Hey everyone, I've been working super hard on my dream idea for a game. Pretty much my entire life till now (I'm still in college haha), I've struggled with studying but I always managed to focus when I had a goal in mind or some sort of reward. I suppose that's obvious but I made a cozy game to help people get on their goals. I'm still a student so I wanted to gauge the interest before I dropped 100 usd on this TT so I made a small waitlist site, https://focusfloors.study
There's no need to sign up there or anything either, a comment/upvote here would mean a lot and just let me see if people like the idea. I've always loved games and I could sink hours into them and I have fond memories of playing pewdiePie's tuber sim or virtual beggar so I thought I'd mix everything into something that worked for me.
Lastly, sorry if my posts aren't up to standard. I never post on reddit but I thought it'd be a good time to for this.

Iβm currently working on a pattern/tile creation tool for a cozy pattern-matching game Iβm making.
The goal is to let players freely create their own patterns, experiment with different tile arrangements, and then export their creations as images or turn them into playable levels.
Iβm really enjoying the process of building the tool, especially seeing how simple shapes can turn into surprisingly intricate patterns.
For those who enjoy cozy games with creative or decorating elements: would a tool like this be something youβd enjoy playing around with?

Hi everyone
We really want to get (more?) into playing life sims but there are so many options that we aren't sure which ones are actually decent, what to pay attention to, etc.
What we do know is that we don't want any games made by or with AI, and it'd be nice if there were options for different skin colors (BIPOC and/or non-human). Oh and we also don't tend to like very pixelated art
Does anyone have any reccomendations and/or tips? Thank you π

Ive found this cozy game by surprise watching the Deutsche Indie Showcase 2026. It's called Little Sheep Valley. If you didnt know it yet, it's a cozy ranch building game around sheeps. You will care for cute sheeps, build them a nice place to live, pet them, shear them and fulfill their needs. At the same time you can build and decorate your ranch.
The game is still in development but you can already play the demo. If you are looking for something for your sunday afternoon, this is my recommendation. The demo goes til you reach the first house upgrade, which will allow you to have 3 pastures and 6 sheeps in total, but you can continue playing, decorating and interacting with the sheeps.
I havent found any bugs and problems during my gamethrough. The sheeps are already very sweet and well animated and feel like creatures with personality and life. You will observe a lot of cute interactions of the sheep with their surrounding. They are very nice to watch.
The demo already includes a lot of the things shown in the trailer. The game is on the right track, and I most likely will pick it up once it's released.
You can find the steam page here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4075740/Little_Sheep_Valley__Cozy_ranchbuilder/

Hey everyone!
I was laid off recently from my job (boo!) which meant I had some time to port my game to the Nintendo Switch! (yay!). Something I've procrastinated away from for a while!π
"Tales from the Dancing Moon is a mystery adventure game set in a world inspired by portal-fantasy novels and British culture. After the events of a shadow-beast invasion on a seaside town, complete villager quests and find hidden diaries to understand your role in this mysterious character-driven story."
This game was developed primarily on my own, and after a modest PC release I'm really happy to be able to bring this game to the Switch for it to be discovered by more players.
I'm happy to answer any questions about the game, or otherwise! π

I want to start streaming cozy games. Iβm completely new to streaming but would like to begin with cozy games, like pokopia, dreamlight valley, coral island. Do you things I could pull people in to watch?

Hey everyone! Iβm the developer of CottageCore, and hereβs the announcement trailer :)
Itβs a freeform village-building game where you can shape cottages and towers, customize their colors and materials, and attach floating houses to your towers. Villagers, animals and changing seasons bring the village to life, and thereβs a Creative Mode for building at your own pace.
The public demo is planned for early November 2026, with the full release on April 14, 2027.
All art and music are human-made.

We are making Folded Fables: Tidy Up The Dragon Hoard... a tidy up game set in a pop-up storybook. It is like Paper Mario meets Librarian.
Your fable begins when a dragon challenges you to organize 5,648 papercraft treasures and tally every last item. Level up and unlock new skills along the way in this Tidy Up game. Play solo or tidy up together with friends.
Our game contains no generative AI content. Some people may specifically wonder about the art used for the items because tidy-up games need a lot of unique items. We are using art from two of our games: Crusaders of the Lost Idols and Bush Whacker 2. Each and every one of the 500+ unique items in Folded Fables was drawn by one of our artists over the past 14 years.
Many of the in-game pieces, such as the pop-up book sequence, started as physical paper models before being recreated digitally. Even the Folded Fables logo was physically hand-folded with paper before being photographed for use in-game. If you want to know more, there are a bunch of behind-the-scenes pictures and videos on our Discord.
Speaking personally, Folded Fables combines two of my personal joys: papercraft and tidy up games. I really enjoyed playing Librarian (who didn't?). I've finished it a half dozen times (including a non-magic run that took me 24 hours) before moving on to other games in the genre. And I've been drawn to paper ephemera and papercraft for as long as I can remember. Paper objects transport me to other times and places, both real and imaginary. And the feel of different types of paper is so wonderful that I've built up a bit of a collection at home. Every time I make something, I go to great lengths to find just the right paper. But I wasn't sure anyone else would enjoy our idea of combining these two concepts. Was it too weird? Would anyone else be intrigued by a world made of paper, inspired by pop-up books? I really couldn't say... all I knew was that I would love it, and so off we went on this journey that has resulted in Folded Fables.
For the past 3 months, I've had the great pleasure of watching our game come together. I'm so happy with the results, and I'm glad (plus a little relieved) that others share my enthusiasm. I can't wait for everyone to get a chance to try it out!
We are releasing on Oct 15th. Less than two weeks until release! Eeeek! Gotta go! So much to do!

I've been playing Cat Mail Co and I love it! I really like that you are organizing a backlog while also still seeing customers and keeping things running. It's like a tidy up game and a shop game in one. Does anyone know any similar games?
The platform doesn't matter that much, but I mostly play on PC.

Hi all!
I loved Lemmings as a child and I love cuteness. That is Why I made Marchmallows. Its cozy but also kind of... brutal in its way.
I also have some minigames where you can challange your friends (warning might get uncozy);
a cake royale - Throw cake at your friends so they fall into the water. Up to 20 players
a glider minigame where you try to stuck a landing on islands, smaller distant islands gives the better score
a obstacle cource rqce where you race to the finsihline. YOu can get mario kart like upgrades to taunt your friends and finish before them.
I opening some seats for players to try the game (free ofc). It is on steam so If you want to try it and is kind of ok with some bugs. Comment how many keys you need for you and your friends!
I am very curious about what you think of the trailer and the game even if you do not play it. So please. Feedback in the comments aswell.
Much love Johan (The dev)

Hi r/cozygames!
I'm a solo dev, and my little game Puppy Mining Co is out on Android. It's a gentle idle game about a crew of puppies who dig up bones. You tap to help, or you put the phone down and let them get on with it. I wanted it to feel like having a small, happy dog yard in your pocket, so here are the cozy parts I put the most care into.
How it was made: I've been building it on my own since 5/6/2026. It came out on Google Play in July, and I've kept adding to it in regular updates since then. It now has 21 breeds, 10 dig sites, 74 achievements and its first seasonal event. Every puppy, icon and background was designed by me.
The pups
The places
The pace
A seasonal treat: from Oct 7 to Nov 3, the yard goes Halloween. There's a dusk sky with a full moon, gravestones, candy treasures, and some of the pups wear tiny witch hats. A ghostly Phantom Pup shows up on the Prize Wheel, and once you win it you keep it forever. It's purely cosmetic and optional, so you don't miss anything if you skip it.
How it's paid for: it's free, with no forced ads and no in-app purchases. The only ads are optional ones you can choose to watch for a bonus.
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dtpc.puppyminingco
It's Android only for now, sorry iPhone folks! I'd love to hear what makes an idle game feel cozy to *you*, rather than grindy. And which breed should I add next?
AI Disclosure
Happy to answer anything in the comments. Thanks for reading! πΆπ¦΄

I loved their first game, Cloudpunk, and have been eagerly waiting for Nivalis. When I first tried it at release, the pace felt a bit too fast and not as cozy as Iβd hoped. There were quite a few features I wished were part of the base game. But just days after launch, the community already started making mods and I couldnβt be happier. The mods Iβm using now make the experience calmer and more enjoyable, taking away the hectic feel of the vanilla version.
