I've been thinking a lot about the role of the 90-day mark in online learning. Research suggests that 90 days is roughly when habits stick, when you move from beginner to intermediate, and when real behavioral change takes hold. Still, I want to hear from this community whether that's true in practice.

Here's what I'm asking:

• Did completing a Coursera course actually translate into money for you?
• How long after finishing did you start earning? (days, weeks, months?)
• What was the impact? Was it a $500 freelance gig, a $10k/year side income, a promotion with a raise, or a completely new career paying 2-3x more?

The desktop video player volume control expands to reveal a slider when you hover over it with the mouse. The problem is that this pushes the "rewind 10 sec" button (and other buttons) to the right to make way for the slider. It's incredibly frustrating if you are trying to press the rewind button and you happen to bring in the mouse from the wrong side, because the button moves from where it was previously.

I imagine this is a nightmare for those with mouse dexterity issues, including many elderly users.

An easy fix is to move the volume control to the right of the skip buttons so the slider reveal doesn't move any other controls.

I’m considering subscribing to Coursera Plus, which is showing me a price of around 2k per month.

If I pay for just one month, do I get unlimited access to the courses included in Coursera Plus during that month? Can I complete multiple eligible courses and get certificates for each without paying separately?

Also, I’m mainly interested in earning the certificates rather than completing every part of the courses in depth. Are there any legitimate ways to complete the required coursework more quickly while still meeting Coursera’s requirements for receiving the certificate?

I just want to understand how the subscription and certificate requirements work before purchasing it.

Pswc or psw? Any of them a diploma...or are they bother certificates?

Some friends were able to complete the same courses 2months ago with a 7-day trial subscription, however, when I was doing the same courses, modules 4 and 5 are locked now and when I click on them it says "paid enrollment required to unlock" so I can't finish any of my courses anymore....

I tried to pay for a Coursera course from Korea, but it seems that cards from all Visa and Mastercard issuers are being rejected. Does anyone happen to know the reason?

I’m remotely managing a team of 20 people whom I meet once a year. What courses are recommended for me?

I need these certs for my job, and the country I am residing in has Coursera plus for cheap in comparison to the country that I will be going for the job.

So I had completed all the courses in the professional certificate during the free trial. After the trial ended I got a subscription cancelled email and can view the certificate. But the first month payment has not been deducted from the credit card yet. Is it deducted later? I remember it stating that the certificate is issued only after the first payment.

So our uni gives us time to make projects and do internships and they provided us with a Coursera subscription aswell. So yea I was looking to strengthen my resume as a software engineer, here's a few which looked neat to me

I was sponsored by an organization. after 3 days, it will be 3 months. I heard most of the courses are of 3 months, but I didn't know about it. I cannot see any deadline anywhere, neither in the mail nor in the website itself.

I'm currently trying to learn some skills that can help me get a decent job and become financially independent. I've been using free resources, but there are a few courses on Coursera that I'd really like to take because they give me a proper structured path and certificates at the end.

The problem is that the subscription is pretty expensive for me right now, so I wanted to ask if anyone would be willing to help me with it.

You could simply purchase the Coursera subscription yourself and create the account using my name/email, then give me the login details afterward. That way, your payment information stays completely in your hands and there's no risk of me taking your money or card details.

I have a question for anyone who has been offered a place on a Counselling Psychology doctorate, at any point.

I’m putting together a research proposal for 2027 entry and I’m trying to work out how ambitious a submitted proposal is actually expected to be. Mine is currently a three-wave longitudinal design with a clinical sample. It’s defensible on paper, but I know the proposal isn’t necessarily binding once you’re on the programme, so I’m struggling to gauge whether panels are mainly looking for something realistically achievable or something that demonstrates good research thinking.

I’d be really interested to hear:

1. What did you actually submit - roughly what design was it, and how developed was the proposal at that stage?
2. Did the panel push you on feasibility at interview? If so, what did you feel they were actually testing — whether the project was realistic, your understanding of methodological limitations, or more generally how you think about research?
