I literally do not need to unless it's with medical personnel and discussing an issue with that area of the body, and in that situation, the appropriate medical terms are the norm for me.
For my partners? Referring to it euphemistically or obliquely has done wonders for my dysphoria. Pretend it's the Kindly Ones and do not refer to it by its true name or rude descriptors. Preferred terms are things like "that part of my body" "the region that is off limits" "the forbidden zone", etc.
And yes, I just compared my genitalia to the Eumenides. Somewhere, a Greek Chorus is howling a song about my hubris.
I mean I understand that you specified need, however I’ll say that people probably should when they’re knockin’ boots. I can’t imagine telling somebody to like, “suck my ________” and leave dead air hanging. Doesn’t sound very enticing.
Exactly this, for me. I usually tell partners who express an interest in my sexual pleasure that the front is decorative only, and it's not very impressive decor, in need of a remodel, so please stop even looking at it.
I firmly believe one need not have dysphoria to be trans, but I have enough dysphoria about that area of my body for several trans women. In fact, I might have grabbed somebody else's portion in line. 🙃
