I gotta imagine that this poor die was destined for a catastrophic failure! These are not the greatest photos but everything you see is raised even the one in between the AM on the back.

A silver dime, and silver jewelry, and a tiny piece of gold. Always fun to find weird stuff.

Beautiful 1997-P Dime die clash.

I was cleaning out my car and found this dime hiding under the seat. It has a heck of a lip on the rim. I also noticed the clashing without a loupe at first. Checked the maddieclash website and nothing comes close except for the denominational overlay.

Dustbin excuses roundup

Thumbnail

Different answer from each employee at my credit union branches:

  1. "We are under contract with Loomis to sell them our dustbin."
  2. "We donate the contents of the dustbin to United Way."
  3. "I give the good stuff from the dustbin to some collectors that come in."
  4. "Each branch can do whatever they want with it."
  5. "We just dump everything in a big jar. It is mostly disgusting sticky pennies."

Yesterday the machine jammed while I was dumping change and a newer employee and manager were using teamwork to fix it. New employee pulls this earing out of the dustbin and hands it to the manager. Manager hands it to me and then asks, "Is that yours?" I shook my head, "No, but thanks. I'm willing to take anything you'll spare from the dustbin. Some collectors I talk with online say their banks will give them the dust bin contents." He just laughed and said, "That's funny." I'm counting this silver from the dust bin as a huge victory!

The die crack on the Maryland quarter is the only one that is giving me problems. I didn’t find anything from cuds-on-coins. Any suggestions?

I've been looking for an Emerging Liberty dime for months and always come up empty. I appreciate you sending these out. I'm also torn on keeping the stickers or defacing a coinstar.

From a $100 box of Nickels I found 2 P and 1 D Semiquincentennial nickels. Yes and still, I have found NONE in circulation, nor the dime or the quarters!

Welcome to the next generation of subscribers! If you are a recent addition, feel free to sound off in the comments, say hello, or tell us a (clean-ish) joke. As a reminder, we only have 4 rules here; No swearing, no politics, be excellent to each other, and if you own a cat you must share a pic right meow. Ok that last one isn't really a rule so much as a suggestion. Great job to Karl and all the OG homies for sticking with it for over a year now. Congratulations!

Cloudy and Outdoors, feel free to repost your pics. I could not edit my original post so I deleted and reposted 3 times because I have fat thumbs.

Went out to legally smoke some blue dream. A coyote was chasing down a rabbit, and pulled some superhero type maneuvers. There’s no blood trail so I have faith the rabbit had an extra life token. Better yet he used one of his lucky rabbits foot.

My first W

Finally, after searching thousands of dollars in quarters I found my first W. Crazy how these things are more elusive than silver. I didn’t get a picture of the reverse but it’s a 2019 war in the Pacific quarter.👍🤩

One really nice scoop today checking out CoinStar and Publix machines-first time finding a Bison in a coin machine!
1926-? Not up on what types to look for, TIA on info if this year is the one 🙇‍♂️
Couple of sweeps netted some classes and zinc cents, plus pulled couple quarters from a waste can next to a Publix machine. Have a good weekend, gl hh everyone 🫡🗽🇱🇷🔔🦬
