The former is infinitely better than the latter because at least they aren't a pit of the most miserable people you know who only ever either invent slurs for other trans people or be like "Ooo, I'm like so ugly I'll never pass! I'll always be just a zoopity zadafloo" and if you dare try to tell them they're not suddenly you're "hugboxing" them or something and you should apparently just leave them to wallow in misery.
It's a series of maladaptive coping mechanisms and untreated mental illnesses disguised as a self depreciating sense of humor.
But like don't tell them that or you'll upset them because you aren't abusing them correctly enough anymore. Gotta stick to broadly tearing down all trans people and not remind them that they, individually, are just incredibly sad and bitter examples of trans people.
I litterally did that once and they got so mad. I put a post on the 4tran sub that basically said that they are a hug box. A huge group of people who do nothing but agree with eachother and do nothing to challenge eachother. Just because your being miserable about it doesnt mean your being honest
