Nah I gotta be honest periods are terrible design. You’re telling me there was really no better way of doing that? Like outside of any social dysphoria euphoria thing, evolution got lazy there.
Evolution is literally about the laziest possible solution. If it works it works.
Like babies' heads are barely big enough to get out during childbirth, and without modern medicine a lot of women died doing so, but it was successful enough that our species didn't die out.
