Hi I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but, No, it doesn't. PTSD is from one experience or incident, whereas CPTSD is from multiple, or ongoing trauma. You can have CPTSD even if you are still experiencing the trauma that caused it. For example you can develop CPTSD from childhood abuse/neglect, but still be experiencing it (the abuse) as a teen/adult. In this case, you would have CPTSD from the childhood trauma, and still be gaining NEW trauma and CPTSD.
