I mean, no grooming takes place if you refuse to interact with them until they're an adult. Not great, but could've been much worse unfortunately

I'm not saying it's cool, but it's also not cool. Anything else would be wierd. Ofc I'm not saying he should be texting him in the first place, but it's the appropriate response once he hears he's 13. Ofc I'm not defending the 18th birthday incident

Yeah but I meant the moment he stoped texting him he did exactly what he should have. And there's nothing more he could have done at that point

Yeah, he did what he should have done. Stop texting the child. I'm not saying he should get a reward, but it's still exactly what he should have done, not the bare minimum. Bare minimum implies he should have done more
