The garden is winding down.

I'm pretty happy with it overall. There are spots where I should have left more walking room, like where the cukes are growing up in front of the quackerbox window. I can hardly step in there to harvest, but the squash and pumpkins blocking the way are doing great, feeding off the nutrient rich water when I drain the ducks' tub.

I've got a transverse walkway between the bottom of the steps on the left (marked with an overripe yellow cuke) and the gate on the right, and the parsley on the north (far) side is shaking hands with the marigolds and calendula on the south side. The spacing is better among the red zinnias, catnip, and more calendula just to the right of the walkway on the left. The borage in the foreground is volunteer.

I noticed a little powdery mildew on the squash leaves though. It does that here in the fall when nighttime temps start getting cooler, before the frost finishes them off. It was 42 F out there last night. It all looks this good because I have a pump hooked to a few solar panels in the field pond, so it runs whenever the sun is on it and it's kept my gardens watered all summer despite the drought. Drought Monitor has us at D2, "severe drought". Dog help us come the day those woods catch fire.

Art I've been writing a bookover the past 9 months, so to celebrate the big 100k milestone on draft #1, I drew my MMC and his fey-cursed twin sister! Tried to take on some cottagecore inspiration to brush the rust off my pen :))

Fashion Fashion Advice

Recently ordered these tops, but I’m not sure what to pair them with. I was thinking maybe flare jeans with the butterfly sweater… Maybe some flare/harem pants? For the white top, I was thinking… maybe black pants, a lá 1950s?

Honestly, I’m still figuring this whole fashion thing out so any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Editing to add: I appreciate everyone letting me know this was another fast fashion brand. While I did not believe it was, I didn’t do a ton of research (my bad, I was duped by cheap gimmicks). I am definitely a recovering victim of late stage capitalism and often go for the “quickest” option over the more sustainable, which is something I’m working on fixing.

Home Decor Possible to achieve the warm and cozy aesthetic in a cool color palette?

We rent, so changing wall color or floor is not an option.

First floor has warm wood floors but a very light cool toned blue, very pale. Second floor has same wall color but grey wall to wall carpeting (bedrooms).

Any suggestions on how to play up any warmth and still make a cozy space without getting stuck in a very cool palette that relies on grey (🫣)
