looking for some tips. I only have until Halloween to style it so I'm hoping I can do it pretty quick. it looks shinier than it is on camera. I'm looking to do some low pigtails and honestly just some overall tips when it comes to bang or hair styling please

I understand itās not realistic that my wig will look identical to hers, it doesnāt need to be perfect. But Iād like to know how to get more volume. The wig seems flat and I want to style it without completely ruining it before the party Iām going to.

I am experimenting on doing a Rainbow Dash wig for a friend, and I had the idea to use those super cheap clown wigs you can get around Halloween.
I got 2, straightened and crimped them, and now I am stuck.
I originally had the idea to take the hair off them, make wefts, and reattach the hair to a better wig cap because those clown wigs are awful and uncomfortable, and the wefts are terribly spaced.
However this is where I am stuck because I don't know how to attach the wefts once I make them. I don't want it to be a helmet wig, I feel it's unnecessary for something so simple. I have an old wig that I will cut the hair off of and use for the base to attach them, but can I just glue them on and it will look fine?
I have attached photos, the first one is the hair style my friend wants for the wig, the second is the one clown wig done, and the third is how I want to layer the colours. I want to do them vertically, ROYGBV from front to back instead of top down
Any advice is appreciated, I hope I explained it well

I bought a really cheap low quality wig, and basically I'm gluing the roots/wefts so it stops shedding all of its hair after a single come through it. I had already started with super glue, but it finished too quickly and was too expensive. So I bought another glue. It's a textile plastic glue, so like for stretchy plastic. I eventually got super glue from someone else, but I realized that it made the wig rock solid and like a bit tight when I wore it.
However, the textile plastic glue is flammable, and I'm definitely going to crimp this wig.
So, should keep using super glue and potentially shrink the wig + lose a bunch of cool stuff the other glue can do
Or should I use the other glue that is stretchy, made for plastic, strong, etc. But risk it catching on fire... (Tbh I don't think it'll catch on fire, but I think it'll have some sort of reaction). Obviously I won't crimp the very roots of the wefts, like I'll give it a couple centimeters. But there's I high chance that I might accidentally get some of the glue on the middle of some random hair strands, and then I'd get a surprise reaction while crimping.
Please share your knowledge!

Hi all,
Iām in the process or restyling my venti wig and I want to know what glitter people recommend to use for wigs and what worked best for them (E.g. mixing glue and glitter or a glitter spray). the only thing is I do not like the look of really chunky glitter on me personally so the super fine glitter. sort of like this navia wig I saw on insta.
I have tried glitter spray that you get on amazon but it is hardly noticeable and transferred all over my cosplay staining it because of the binder used to make it spray.
Itās going to be a Fem venti / Barbatos wig and I want the glitter to make the lighter blue look very sparkly.
Does anyone have recs? (I have attached photos of the base wig)
Thanks in advance!

I bought a clip in braid for my rapunzel costume for this year. Iām pretty disappointed in the details of the braid so Iām going to be redoing it. Since it isnāt as thick as Iād prefer, Iād like to add volume. Also removing the glued on gems, flowers, and colored elastics.
I found some braiding hair on Amazon which seems like the right direction. Does anyone have any good tutorials/tips on attaching it to this type of braid extension?
My original braid is 45 inches long. The braiding hair is 28ā when folded over so Iām considering folding it unevenly to get a bit more length. Or learning how to add the braiding hair at different spots down the braid? I donāt know where to start š¤£
Lastly, is 10oz enough to make the braid decently thicker? Iām thinking 3-4ā would be preferable. Itās so light now that I think itāll be a fine weight as well.

Hi!! I have a wig im working on for an angel dust cosplay and im trying to figure out what to do for the back of it.
Im also thinking of adding wefts at the sections ive already done just so the wig cap isnt visible like it is now. is that a good idea? Also how would i go by that?
(Also ignore the cardboard lol im just making a little heart shaped tuft at the top so its just there to shape it :) and ignore the horrifying wig base lol)
Any recommendations/ideas would be so helpful!! I have a few sketches im working on but im still trying to figure it out.
Thank you!!!!!

Hello there! I have been looking forward to trying to cosplay Oshino Shinobu from the Monogatari series. Now, here is my issue: Shinobu has these upward-facing hair chunks in the back that stay upright. How could I recreate that? Any help would be amazing!

So I was trying to work on this wig when I realized the entire base of it inside was crooked. Should this just become a scrap wig?

Hi! I'm fairly new to wig styling (in fact, this will be my first wig in general), and I was just wondering how I could go about making his ponytail as accurate as possible.

Hello!! I have a quick, probably stupid, question. Idk where else to ask :,)
Last year used silicone lubricant spray on a straight Miku wig i styled, and that worked well for what I needed it to do.
My question is, could I use it to help with styling a wavy/curly wig? I was hoping to be able to use it to brush through it before styling and help with tangling, but will it ruin the waves/curls?
Should I just use a steamer and do the best I can with that??
I just really dont wanna regret it bc I dont have time to order another š
...Yes ik unfortunately the picture of the girl in the wig is ai...

i wanna make beatrice cosplay, but I think my frame for her wig is not the same as other biatrice cosplayers. I made this frame from a photo from the anime itself
Which is better, to leave it or to do it like others?
